Three steps from this beautiful home and you're on the sidewalk on historic Main Street in Blowing Rock. This newly updated luxury rental is the perfect spot for a family trip, romantic getaway or a special friends trip. The central pedestrian area in Blowing Rock stretches from the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum and St. Mary of the Hills on the south side of Main Street to the Speckled Trout and Camp Coffee Roasters on the north side, with the park as well as several shops and restaurants in between. Most people, including many locals, do not realize that there is a family home on Main Street within this central pedestrian area. They pass it riding down Main Street, and if they stop by the post office, they drive right alongside this quaint 1920's brick home as they exit. It's a quiet, happy little place right in the heart of Blowing Rock. A new private driveway allows you to park 2 cars on the property which makes your stay that much more convenient. The home has been completed updated with the finest furnishings and comes fully stocked with all your basic needs. You will feel right at home when you stay at "The Blake". My husband and I took our four teenage children right before Christmas. The home was all decorated for Christmas; it was something right out of a Hallmark movie. We all LOVED it. We have been coming to Blowing Rock for 25 years. We will have great memories of our stay and will be back next year.

The Blake was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable to stay in. Every detail for our visits seemed to be considered by our host. The location cannot be beat, just steps off of Main Street we were able to walk to nearly everything in town. It was also across the street from our fishing outfitter, The Speckled Trout Outfitters, which was super convenient. We would definitely love to stay at the Blake the next time we visit. Thanks Eric!

Location can not be topped. My mother needed a house that had easy access to shopping and restaurants. She absolutely fell in love with this house. The attention to detail was unmatched, and we’ve stayed in many properties. Visiting our daughter at App State was a quick and easy drive. Can’t imagine a better Blowing Rock property than this!

We had the best stay at The Blake! The location was perfect on Main Street making everything walkable. Everything was decorated for the holidays and it was was the coziest house. It was very clean and we had great communication throughout our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

We have been goi g to Blowing Rock annually for 10+ years and always miss staying here. We finally booked it far enough in advance and it did not disappoint. This is foot steps from Coffee, Shops, and Restaurants. It doesn't get any better. House is tastefully decorated and clean. Mattresses a touch plush for my liking but better than most re take we have stayed in! Happy Booking

This place is made for families. Kids loved the upstairs, grandparents and parents loved the main bedrooms. So clean and beautifully decorated. Walk to everything! Nothing better than shopping, having beers and walking your kids to the playground all in an afternoon.

6 adults and 1 teenager stayed at The Blake for Labor Day weekend and an App State football game. We've been coming to the High Country for App State games for years and this is the first time we stayed at the Blake, it will not be the last! The location in downtown Blowing Rock cannot be beat. Walking distance to everything! The house itself is beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen is very well appointed with all the essentials. I highly recommend this property.

What a perfect place to stay for the weekend. This house was packed with every little thing you could possibly need- coffee, shampoo, utensils, NICE hairdryers, blankets etc. Beyond that, it was spotless. You can’t beat the location, it was so close to anything we wanted to do. We didn’t need anything during our stay, but I believe any issue would have been addressed immediately by the host who clearly cared about our experience. We are already planning another stay at this location and can’t wait to return. One of the best short term rentals anyone in our group had ever stayed in.

There Blake house on Main is so cute! Extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. The front porch is perfect for people watching. Eric was very attentive calling me to let us know the house was ready for us early. And he left us a nice bottle of wine as a welcome gift! It was a perfect girls weekend! And kareoke down the street was a blast!

My husband and I stayed at The Blake on Main for 8 days and it could not have been more perfect! This charming home is located right in the middle of everything in Blowing Rock. We loved the convenience of being able to walk out the front door and have restaurants, shopping, and beautiful places to walk our doggies.
The home had everything we needed to be comfortable and we were very happy. There are two (2) parking spaces behind the home which worked out great because parking in downtown Blowing Rock is not easy to find during busy times.
We highly recommend The Blake on Main and are grateful that this home was available for us to stay and enjoy during our visit.

We rented the Blake for a weekend getaway with our adult sons. The location is amazing. The house is so incredibly cozy. You can tell so much thought was put into not only the decor but also anything you would need while staying there. Eric, the host, was extremely responsive, even while he was in flight. It is probably our best VRBO experience so far.

We fell in love with this property. It beautiful, well cared for and the perfect location in Blowing Rock. The owner was so helpful and offered suggestions on where to eat. He suggested The Speckled Trout and it was fabulous. So many people walking by took photos of the vrbo information. i wouldn't wait too long snag this place! After we arrived, we did not need our car again. Everything was within a nice short walk.

I grew up in Hickory, NC and have been coming to Blowing Rock my whole life. Had no idea this home existed. What a huge miss!!! This home is beautiful and the location is perfect. We could not quit talking about how great it was all weekend. Stay here!!!! No chance you regret it.

We had a great time! The house is very comfortable and nicely appointed, and kitchen is extremely well stocked. The upstairs loft area is perfect for mature preschoolers, as well as elementary-aged or teen kids!
The location of the home also cannot be beat. We really enjoyed walking across the street to restaurants, markets and ice cream shops! Even though it's downtown, we really didn't get much (if any) street noise at all during the night. Also very close proximity to Tweetsie Railroad and Boone.
Eric was a wonderful and responsive host. We'd definitely stay here again!

We stayed with our toddler and in-laws. It was clean, decorated beautifully and smelled amazing. The king bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked- and you cannot beat the location for a trip to blowing rock. We loved being able to walk everywhere!

We chose The Blake thanks to the ideal location knowing everyone coming into town for our wedding could walk to us and vice versa (as others were staying all around BR). The home and hospitality of Eric exceeded our expectations, truly. We had several friends travel to NC, for the first time, from Wyoming, and them being able to experience our stay + a gorgeous weekend in Blowing Rock will forever be a blessing. Located in the most amazing spot in downtown Blowing Rock, this property blew us all away. The stunning decor, the very clean and well maintained environment, luxury accommodations and responsiveness of the host will have us returning for years to come. At the close of our reservation we were all very sad to leave, and wished we had booked for many more days! The home is cozy, welcoming and spatially laid out in such a way that all space is maximized and usable. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked! Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay!
