What a beautiful place, and what friendly owners! Being shown around was a joy in the first place. The room was huge, the food was incredible, we had dinner there because it was a little remote, which we knew anyway, and the swimming pool and outside area was gorgeous. Also, the bed had the most comfortable mattress I slept on in the entire fortnight. Breakfast was great, and the dining room was beautiful.
There were a couple of minor cleanliness issues, that weren't worth reporting, and didn't detract from our stay.

A lovely retreat from the surrounding history - we were doing an educational pilgrimage of WW2 sites with our 14yr old grandson, so combined with the holiday aspect, this was ideal. The hosts were magnificent, very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and of superb quality. The outdoor swimming pool was much appreciated, and proved relief from the heatwave. Beds very comfy, excellent walk-in shower, plentiful large towels.
My wife and I are in our mid 70’s, and although she’s much more agile than I am, we both suffered from the steep stairways up to the apartment - worn stone steps (blame the medieval monks) and curved wooden ones with no handrails.

we thought the breakfast was fantastic. no notes! something for everyone and in a gorgeous setting.
the location was incredibly peaceful and beautiful.
our bedroom was a fab size with a sofa to chill on. lovely linen bedding.
