Great location and easy access to beach

Everything you could possibly need in a rental and location was perfect. Short walk to the beach and short drive to anywhere on the island.

The house is a quick walk to the beach. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. The beds were very comfortable everyone slept well. Since there aren't any dressers or nightstands with drawers it was hard to unpack. Be prepared to hang clothes in closets and live out of your suitcase. When I contacted the owner he was very quick to respond. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. We LOVED our time on the beach during the day and exploring Oak Island and Southport in the evenings.

The house was very clean inside. The beds were very comfortable. A 2 minute walk to the beach. Close to supermarkets and other shopping. Very quiet area. I would recommend to the owner that the numerial address on the house would be easier to see and identify if the numbers were in white instead of black.

We rented the house in Oak Island for two full months, but were disappointed in the property as we needed to do some cleaning to feel comfortable. The overall appearance was somewhat worn and shabby. The kitchen was not we'll equipped, but when I contacted the host, he was immediately responsive and supplied the items that I thought should have been included, such as a hair dryer, vegetable peeler, colander, cleaning supplies, etc. While there were closets to hang clothes, there was not a single bureau or dresser, so we used one of the beds to fold and stack clothing that couldn't be hung (socks, underwear, sweaters, etc.). While I realize this might not be a problem for short stays, for two months this was basically our home, so some of the simple conveniences were lacking. However, the location was very close to the beach, and the weather was much warmer than New Hampshire in February and March, so overall we enjoyed our stay. The neighbors were friendly and helpful, but sadly, we will not be making a return visit.

Very short stroll to beach or Publix. Sit on the porch and watch the ocean with a cup of coffee in the morning. Listen to the ocean with a beer at night. Kids slept well in beds. Only four of use but easily fit 6. Cooked in kitchen with no need for extra utensils and laundry was a plus for our messy kids. Kitchen is a little tight, but works. If it does come a good rain, the whole street will fill up with 5 inches of water, just be prepared.

Comfortable little house just a short walk from the beach. (And also from the grocery store for the inevitable forgotten groceries.). Owners are extremely responsive and prompt with communications.

The house is very cute and a short walk to lots of amenities, especially the beach. Ralph was great to communicate with and very responsive. The only downside is there are currently 4 houses being built directly across the street from this property, so there is a lot of construction noise every day except Sunday. Overall, my husband and I had very pleasant stay and would definitely return to Oak Island.

We are all healthcare workers whomHave dealt with Covid-19 for the last year , which also meant not seeing each other as much and all working extra hours . This place was just what we needed . Great location , ocean views , an open living room for us to relax and chill , kitchen was well stocked , and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean . We would definitely come back ! Ralph was very responsive to questions as well .

Loved being able to walk a couple hundred feet to the beach, and the grocery is walking distance too. Literally can park your car and walk or bicycle everywhere! Super cute little house with all we needed for a long weekend. Ralph was easy to communicate with and proactive. Front porch faces west, so nice for sunsets too! Carolina beach stays can feel kind of crowded with small lot sizes and huge homes, but (so far) this one had an empty lot to the side and back, and across both streets. Felt a little secluded that way, even with the close proximity to the beach access. Sweet little cottage that we would love to stay at again!

The property is a minute walk to the beach and to Publix. Nice size for a couple or a small family. Tankless water heater provide hot showers for everyone. Enjoyed our stay!

Everything was wonderful! Communication with owner, accessibility to the beach & stores, & the property itself was all wonderful & provided us with an amazing trip!

Had a great 4 night stay here! Location is amazing...short walk to the beach and grocery store. Great communication and response time from owners. Only recommendation is to add mirrors in the bedrooms. We had several females and one bathroom which made the getting ready process a little difficult. Overall...great place to stay and would recommend to others!

Location is perfect.. 1 block to the grocery store and 1 block to the beach. The beds were comfortable, the owner communicates well and it had all the basics we needed. You can also tell the house has been updated nicely. The bathroom and kitchen look brand new! My only suggestions are on minor details.. the kitchen utensils were slim pickings and a few minor things such as washing the windows and replacing the window curtains (many are dirty/tattered) would go a ways in initial appearance. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others. Thank you Ralph for allowing us to enjoy your home!

This was our first time using VRBO and we had a wonderful experience working with Ralph! The house was super clean and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was right there and the location could not have been better! Only a very short walk to the beach and short drive to the grocery store and great restaurants. The property was well maintained and felt very private. The side yard was great for playing Frisbee and you can't beat the outdoor shower with WARM water! That was a nice luxury esp for our kids! We enjoyed family time together and felt safe and comfy in the house. Please consider this house for your next trip to Oak Island...you will not be disappointed!

Just a two minute walk from the beach. Home was very clean. Nice outdoor shower had warm water, made it very easy to get clean before reentering the house. Would absolutely stay here again.
