The cottage makes for a very romantic setting in Dorset, when you are into hiking or playing golf, this is a fab place. All is close at hand if you have a car.
The view from the living room is amazing!!!!!
The kitchen table plus kitchen indeling are fairly small, it’ll do for having your breakfast in the morning (for 2 personen). In the evening we prefereer having dinner in the living room, but one needs to go upstairs then.

Very nice cottage located in a beautiful landscape close to the village and the coast. The renters were friendly and kind, showed us around the house and garden and greeted us with some fruit. There is bread and tea and biscuits for the guests and the renters know Dorset and its hinking paths, cities and villages very well and give good recommendations.

Downstairs bathroom, this was my mistake I didn’t read the details properly, beautiful bathroom but wasn’t helpful for us downstairs, lounge was upstairs which made things interesting, again my mistake I should have read the details, stunning property the cleanest one I have every stayed in

We spent an amazing week at the cottage at the end of June 2023.
The owners are a lovely couple who welcomed us and proudly showed us the cottage and their gardens. They shared with us the how they arrived at the village of Abbotsbury on the back of a scooter, their history of owning the cottage, and the hard work of transforming the cottage and the gardens into the beautiful place it is.
The cottage itself is spacious, well presented, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay.
The location of the cottage is great and provides easy access to the village of Abbotsbury with various amenities, to good footpaths through the surrounding countryside, and down to Chesil beach.
We found the cottage perfect as a base for days out, however, we would have been content to stay at the cottage and enjoy its facilities, local walks, and gaze out of the window at the beautiful rolling Dorset countryside, and the various animals in the fields.
It was a sad moment when we came to leave and our 3-year old daughter was very upset that she had to leave her ‘little holiday house’ and all her new friends (soft toys provided by the owners). But her tears were soon turned into big smiles as Val and Brian showed the most amazing kindness to her.
We cannot wait to return as Val and Brian are so lovely - it was like spending a week staying with family!
