About this house rental
Nestled in Canandaigua Lake, this charming house for $769 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome home to a piece of Canandaigua Lake! This newly renovated 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home sits directly on the lake offering a private setting with fantastic views. You don't have a long steep hill or have to cross the road to get to the water! The first floor looks out directly onto the deck, dock, and the lake. The brand new kitchen is fully appointed for meal preparation with the large island seating 6 and the farmhouse table seating 8. The family room includes two comfortable couches, and a wall-mounted TV equipped with cable and Netflix. The basement rec room has a ping pong table, foosball table, PS3, and flat screen with cable and netflix. Kayaks are hanging on the lakeside rack, fishing poles are in the shed, and the fire pit is ready for marshmallow roasting with firewood provided. The master suite is on the main level with a king bed and bathroom with shower. The two upstairs bedrooms include a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bedroom sleeping four in a twin over full bunk bed and pull out trundle (see pictures). These two bedrooms share a bathroom with walk-in shower. Amenities also include WiFi and a Weber gas grill. Located on the sought after West Lake road, this house has a view of the sunrise and is 6 miles from downtown Canandaigua. Visit the nearby wineries (Heron Hill tasting room only 3 miles away) and Bristol Mountain's Aerial Adventures course in between time spent enjoying the waterfront. You might also want to visit the nearby Wegmans organic farm that is a quarter mile down the road. This house is great for couples or families. There is a pack n play for babies and a portable high chair. There are life jackets available for children 30 pounds and up and also adult sizes. You will have full access to the entire house, the detached garage for parking, and private dock, water, and beach access. We are very responsive to guests, and are about 30 minutes away if needed in person. Self check-in with personalized code provided for the front door's easy to use electronic lock. Maximum of 6 adults and 8 total including children. The dock can be used to load and unload boat passengers. No long-term docking as it will not hold up to the forces of the boat/waves for any length of time. If staying in the winter, we will make reasonable attempts to clear snow, but guests may need to shovel front steps and a path (about 10-15 feet) if a storm occurs during your stay. The driveway access may be more difficult in the event of a snowstorm as well.

We loved this place! It was like new with all of the updates, had comfortable beds and the most beautiful views! We especially loved the showers- great water pressure. The kids enjoyed ping pong and rolling down the hill. The owners were extremely responsive and the house was well stocked. The neighbors were lovely too! Highly recommend and we will likely stay again.

There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the place immensely. The home was beautiful, kayaking on the lake was meditative. We enjoyed the fire pit and the house was well supplied. We managed to get all 4 cars on the property without blocking the driveway. I took videos to show the condition the house was left in and followed the guide on what to do, I hope everything was done to Katrina’s standards. Beautiful experience!

The minute we stepped in the door we felt so relaxed, we dropped our bags and went straight to the water. The backyard and view of the lake was beautiful. The water was warm and we enjoyed paddling and swimming.
The house is amazing. 5 adults, a 3 year old boy and a 6 month baby girl had plenty of space to be comfortable.
The basement was a great place to play ping pong and the 3 year old loved the toy closet!
We were sad to leave but will be looking forward to returning next year for another great experience!

The home was nicely renovated and is set up with an open plan and plenty of space. It was well equipped and comfortable with everything we needed for our family vacation. The house was very clean and ready for us on arrival. The location is great with easy access to the lake and dock. We enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit right at the waters edge. We also all had fun in the very nice game room in the basement, especially our family ping pong tournament! Many of the homes around the lake have steep inclines, but this location is very convenient and easy to access the waterfront with just a few steps. Communication with Katrina was superb. Parking for two cars in the garage and driveway was no problem.

The weather was perfect which we didn't expect as I grew up in that area of NY. There were so many extra perks that we didn't expect to find. The instructions were clear for the check-out procedure as well as the check-in procedure. The house was beautiful and clean and the kitchen well-stocked. It is situated at a beautiful part of a beautiful Finger Lake. Thank you for everything.

We traveled from Wyoming across the country to celebrate our niece’s graduation with a week at the lake. To say we are now Lakaholics would be an understatement. Beautiful house, lovely location, and so much fun both inside and out. The game room was a hit during the rainy days. I know this might seem odd, but the bathrooms were perfect. Great toilets and fans for sharing space with 8 adults!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

My husband and I stayed here three nights - would have loved to have stayed longer! The house is extremely clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It has all the amenities one could ask for. The retractable awning was great to have when we were blessed with a hot, sunny, September day, as it helped keep both the deck and the house at a comfortable temperature. The only question we had was how to work the thermostat to turn the a/c off (it was a model "too advanced" for us, LoL!) and it was answered promptly, complete with a video to demonstrate! We could not have asked for more from this rental or host. Definitely recommend!

We loved this property. It was very clean, and we had everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation. The location is amazing. No need to walk across the street to get down to the lake - you are right there! There is a nice dock and a cool swimming dock with a ladder. The kids loved it. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a beautiful and extremely clean house that was even nicer than it seemed in the photos, and the lakefront area was incredible. We had so much fun swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. We even found a trilobite fossil right near the dock!

This property was even more beautiful in person than it looks in the listing. The house itself is perfection: gorgeous open living/dining room with views for days, super comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and laundry, and all the little touches that make a rental home extra special (soap, detergent, shampoo, spices, clean linens, etc). Our family loved lounging lakeside, swimming in the lake, jumping of the swim dock, taking meals overlooking the lake, fishing against stunning pink skies at night, and roasting marshmallows at sunset. We had so many off site plans, but honestly loved the house so much we rarely left. Highly recommend this gem!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house. Kids enjoyed the basement game room, kayaks, and swimming platform; adults enjoyed the cleanliness, appliances, well-stocked kitchen, central A/C, private lake front, and fire pit; grandparents enjoyed either sitting on the back deck with grill and awning or in the living room and watching everyone play, and proximity to town for Wegmans or restaurants. We didn't even have time to finish our traditional jigsaw puzzle, because we were having so much fun with everything else.

The house was just as depicted in the photos. Plenty of space, great deck with retractable awning, terrific lakefront backyard. Being directly on the lake was the best part. Great, relaxing time
We had such a great experience at this property on the lake over the week. It was relaxing, but so many things to do at the property. Kayaking in the morning, swimming in the afternoon, and going to eat at the north end of the lake. The house is just the perfect size and the renovations are beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!

Lake tranquility
I liked the beauty and waves and calmness of the lake, seeing the sun rise in the morning, sound of the the waves hitting the rocks on the shore and the sound of the birds in the morning, the beautiful oak tree in the backyard. Enjoyed kayaking and the well organized interior, retractable awning on the deck, coffee maker, spacious refridgerator, and big window with lake view. Overall a very positive experience and look forward to coming back again.

Luxury on the Lake
This beautiful house on Canandaigua Lake was a perfect place for exploring the Finger Lakes. The house was well equipped, with fabulous views of the lake, including breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. There were plenty of towels and the showers were heavenly- great water pressure. The water heated immediately and a fan cleared the fog on the mirror very quickly. There was enough room in the bathrooms for all of our toiletries. The bedroom upstairs had a view of the lake that was amazing. There was a large screen TV in the living room and another one downstairs in the basement. The washer/dryer was on the first floor and easy to operate, as was the dishwasher. The TV remote in the living room was a little quirky but Katrina and John were extremely responsive and helpful. There was a great deal of material about the area in the house so planning activities was easy.
We enjoyed hiking and wine tasting, both relatively close to the house, and there were a number of restaurants in the town of Canandaigua, which was about an10 minute drive from the house. In all, it was a memorable stay, and our hosts were great.

We were visiting the Rochester area to see family and this was the perfect place to relax. The location was great and the views were amazing to wake up to every morning. Check in was easy, the home was super clean and updated and the kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds and a great shower made the stay perfect!
