About this house rental
Nestled in Wilmington, this lovely house for $528 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This gorgeous Lake Placid area house rental has everything from a new oversized hot tub to spectacular views of Whiteface Mountain and the surrounding mountain range. Located in Wilmington, this spacious ski lodge is quaint and cozy with enough for larger groups of family and friends. The house features over 4000 sq feet of luxury living and includes three master suites, two stone fireplaces and a location just 3 miles to Whiteface ski area and 12 miles to the Village of Lake Placid and all of the famous Winter Olympic sites including the Miracle on Ice hockey arena, the ski jumps, and the Olympic and World Cup bobsled track at Mount Van Hoevenberg. Designed with larger groups in mind, the house has a Great Room with a wood burning stone fireplace and walls of windows looking out to Whiteface Mountain. The dining area seats 12 and has more spectacular views. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and there is an oversized "boot room" which will accommodate boots, parkas and all your gear until your next trip out to the slopes. There are three master bedrooms with en suite baths - one King and two Queens. The King has a beautiful stone fireplace. One Queen has a Jacuzzi tub, the other has a sitting area with another stunning view to Whiteface. The lower level offers two more bedrooms - one with two twin beds and the other with two sets of bunk beds - and a full bath. There is a large Rec Room with a satellite TV, a game table and various board games. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers. Outside there are large porches, front and back, including a screened rear porch with a gas grill, a picnic table and a sun deck. There is a firepit to enjoy in the evenings. The house sits on a seven acre property adjacent to over 200 acres of Forever Wild land with miles of private trails available for hiking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing. Walk to the West Branch Ausable River or take a short drive to Lake Placid to fish, kayak or canoe. The beach and picnic facilities at Lake Everest are just three minutes away. Satellite TV with DVD, wireless internet and unlimited local and long distance service keep you in touch if you like. At just 90 miles from Montreal, 250 miles from Boston, and 275 miles from New York City you can easily enjoy the beauty and quiet of life in the wilderness of Adirondack Park's six million secluded acres. Our family of three generations celebrated Thanksgiving in this spacious home. Home was spacious for 9 of us with multiple bathrooms and bedrooms. Each morning we were greeted with deer and beautiful views of Whiteface. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. The mudroom was perfect - gave ample space to store coats, boots, etc. would definitely consider returning. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Lovely. Our grandchildren as well as their parents loved the location with its proximity to nature. They loved the deer transitioning through the meadow or coming to eat apples which had fallen from the tree in the corner. Great nature walks followed by an evening fire in the fireplace and popcorn as part of family time. Just the right distance from Lake Placid with a beautiful drive to get there. We would most definitely do this again.

Beautiful, spacious home on a gorgeous property. The lower level was ideal for our grand kids to hang out. Screened porch, fire pit, hot tub, large dining table, frolicking deer in the yard ...all made it an ideal place for our family of 11 to get together for our once a year reunion!

The home was perfect for our adult children and their families, including 2 and 3 year olds. Enough space so everyone could spread out and common areas were great for cooking, eating, playing games. Only 15" from Whiteface Mtn and we were VERY lucky to have about 1 foot of snow the day after we arrived so lots of fun sledding in the yard, building snowmen, making snow angels, and snow cream. Hosts were very responsive to questions and access was easy. There were literally hundreds of ladybugs in the house - dead and alive -not sure what that's about, but probably needs to be addressed. Overall, a wonderful place for a family ski vacation.

Everything was as described. The house is huge with enough room for the biggest groups. The property is secluded, yet close to town which is perfect. Heat works, plenty of hot water, the fireplaces are awesome. WiFi works well. We’ll definitely return.

This property made for the perfect winter weekend getaway for my girlfriends and I! It had more than enough space for 10 of us, had a great layout and was very clean. We wish the hot tub was bigger, because if only fit about 3-4 people at a time, but other than that it was perfect!

We had stayed at this house almost 13 years ago with our extended family so when we were looking for a place to stay in this area we knew that it was a wonderful house with lots of room for our immediate (but expanding) family :). The hot tub was a big hit as well as many chess matches, foose ball competitions and games around the table.

From the moment we walked in until we locked the door when we left, we all enjoyed ourselves. Lovely delicious Thanksgiving dinner and plenty of cheers as the Bills won. Beautiful home with everything we needed there. Smiles, laughs, grand children hugs. It was unanimous that we want to return.

We did a family reunion for a week in August. We had eleven people including two babies and all other ages up to 72. The house was spacious enough to accommodate everyone with ease. The views of Whiteface were spectacular and there are lots of outdoor activities in this area. Two thumbs up!

Perfect accommodations for our group of fly-fishermen. Close enough to town but on a quiet road in the woods on a huge lot with privacy and nice decks. Good communication and easy check in/out. Really loved that 3 of the rooms had their own bathrooms making it easy for showering. Was very warm when we were there but AC units in every room kept the entire house cool.

The proximity to the Whiteface ski slopes is very convenient, with such a short we were able to drive to and from everyone who was on a different schedule. The huge family room with fireplace was absolutely the favorite for all 2 generations, where we spend playing games of cards and Charades! Wonderful scenery at sunset over the ADK mountains. Pleant y of wildlife - turkeys and deers were daily visitors. The hot-tub was delight during the starry nights. The neighborhood is quiet and nice. The nearby Chocolate store was a neat surprise. We’ve done day trips to Lake Placid and Lake Saranac which is about 30-40-ish minutes drive. Great place to unplug. Bill the housekeeper was super responsive and ensured we had great stay! Would love to come back!
