Huge yard for your family activities and the water facing deck can hold and seat everyone in your party. If you have a large group vacation planned, this is the place. The beach area is clear of large rocks and is a beautiful pebble/sand beach-- a hard find on the rocky coast of Maine! Couple this with the mountain views and the Atlantic ocean and you will want to return here every year. . This is the ONLY property you will find to accommodate large groups with 2 separate residences and a bunk house!!! All on one large property with over 300 FT of BEACH FRONTAGE and a HUGE lawn for family activities AND a HUGE Cedar Works Pirate themed playground!!! YOU CAN ALSO RENT EITHER HOUSE ALONE FOR SMALLER GROUPS ask! I Must Go Back to the Sea Again...: You will want to return year after year to this very special spot. There are a lot of rentals to choose from, but none like this. Accommodating large groups with beautiful grounds and beach so close to Acadia and overlooking the mountains of Acadia combined with the deep water frontage make this a one of a kind vacation spot and THE PLACE for Family reunions and large groups! Make Sure you have Deep Water frontage--Not Tidal!: This is deep water frontage. Don't be fooled by houses 'located on the ocean' that have tidal frontage. Tidal frontage means you have nothing but mud (and a foul smell!) when the tide goes out and the water disappears. True deep water frontage means you will still have deep water even when the tide is out. Many properties listed in Trenton Maine have tidal frontage--don't be fooled by a good price! Several Golf Courses are nearby: Bar Harbor Golf course is just minutes away and down the road to Bar Harbor you will find the famed 'Kebo Valley' golf course. There's a Summer Place...: This is truly an exceptional property with a breathtaking view of the ocean with the backdrop of the mountains of Acadia National Park. A deep water mooring is provided should you wish to sail or boat during your stay here. Spend your days combing the beach for starfish, sand dollars and pretty colored shells and sea glass. The beach is cleared of large rocks (something no one is allowed to do anymore) which is a hard find on the rocky coast of Maine. Couple this with the smell of the sea and a warm summer breeze and you will want to return year after year to rest your soul. This spot is great for ocean swimming or wading as well as for snorkeling or scuba diving. But be prepared to just sit back in your beach chair with your toes dug into the warm sand while the warm summer breeze caresses your cares away. Don't be surprised if you catch yourself smiling all the time...we'll know why... Briar Rose main house - 3 BR - 1 king and 2 queen. Main living room has 3 pullout sofas. Sitting area off kitchen has 2 pullout sofas. Bunk house off the deck of this house has 2 futon bunk beds. The garage with this house has 3 futon bunk beds if you wish to use them. We don't call this area living space - it's up to you if you wish to use it. It still has garage doors but it is decorated in a pirate theme. Ariel's Grotto has 2 BR. 1 is a queen and the other has 2 twin beds. There are 3 futons in the living room. The basement is a garage. It has 2 futon bunk beds and several sofas. It is not described as living space. You can use it but that is up to you. Remember, this is set up for our family and we just leave it the way we have it. The property was perfect. Plenty of room and space for everyone. Kids were able to play in the lawn, playscape and by the water. Communication was fast in regards to answering questions. Short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Recommend bringing kayaks or paddle boards as there were none available to rent for the house.

The property had spectacular views. It was an easy 20 minute trip into Acadia NP, and yet far enough away to feel secluded. Very quiet and lots of outdoor space and immediate beach access. The check-in, check-out was hassle free. Definitely recommend it.

This house was exactly what our group needed - it was close to Acadia and to Ellsworth. The property itself is beautiful and well cared for. The space was more than able to accommodate our group of six kids and three adults. Thank you for everything, Debbie!

This is an amazing place. The location right on the ocean was wonderful. We came as a get away to remember my son who died 2 years ago and were looking for a quite place where we could be together as a family. This was exactly what we wanted. The view is amazing looking right over the water and that was so relaxing. I got up every morning and drank my coffee looking at the water and the forested land in the distance. The park is with in easy driving distance which provided daily time to go hike and see the sites. The homes were perfect for our group. We had ample space to sleep and eat. The seating inside is limited but just like a normal family get together for us we had people just spreading to the living room to eat sitting on the couch. Also outside provides plenty of areas to eat in warmer weather. We brought our own kayaks and the beach was perfect for launching them. We couldn’t have wanted anything else in this property and will come back again.

This property is in wonderful location with a great lawn for kids and games, a very nice rocky beach on a quiet cove, and great views of Acadia. This is an ideal property for large family groups, as there were tons of bunk spaces for kids in addition to the multiple bedrooms for the adults. It was as described in the listing and the photos. The hosts, Paul and Debbie, were remarkably responsive, usually addressing any questions we had in under an hour. Similarly, the few minor issues we found were addressed right away. We had a great week and would go back!

The house is cleaned by the family and it is evident that it has not had a professional cleaning. At check in we were made aware that we were required to sign a lengthy occupancy agreement. I would never have booked this property if I had seen this agreement in advance. She sent her daughter to pick up the agreement the morning after check in. Clause #1 this licensor retains the right to immediately terminate this contract and remove the licensees or their guests Clause #2 this licensor retains absolute control and unlimited access to this property during the course of this license to occupy. The property is monitored, etc. This contract goes on for 5 pages. It was beyond ridiculous and Vrbo was not aware that it existed. The agreement also demands that all windows be closed if you are leaving for any period of time. The house has no air conditioning. I asked during our stay about leaving a few windows open while we went to the park. I stated that the radar was clear with no rain in the area and she said “Please don’t. You can open it up when you get back. We get really hard rain here mixed with weather like this. An emergency carpenter to fix things will cost you thousands and he will be working during your stay. It’s not worth it and it has happened before. It actually stays pretty cool there.” It was 86 degrees that day. We still got the experience of contractors working during our stay though. They did roof repairs while we there because the neighbor reported “a shingle on the ground.” That was the night BEFORE the remnants of a tropical storm blew by. This owner should not be permitted to use Airbnb or Vrbo and should work through an independent agency that discloses this agreement at the time of the booking. The owners call the home phone daily and communicate with you so that nothing is in writing in the Vrbo platform. It is a home that they should enjoy and not rent. Don’t forget to bring anything because they block amazon from delivering ANYTHING during your stay. I asked to do a walk through during our check out process and her husband refused to give me anything saying that everything was in satisfactory condition. The place looks good in pictures. It needs some TLC. We were told not to drink the water so we used a partially functioning OLD water cooler. The stairs going down to the beach are dangerous. The dishwasher works intermittently. The location is great.

The location right on the water with your own private beach and views of Acadia can’t be beat! The property has a really big backyard too which was great for playing games and fire pit. Trenton is a cute little town, grocery is nearby, lobster shacks, and a great bakery nearby. Takes about 20 minutes to get to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We rented bikes but realized the house location was not best for that, however we did take them to Acadia and rode some of the trails there which was great. The house did not have a/c which we didn’t expect, but it’s Maine and I imagine 11.5 months out of the year you don’t need it! It was just a really hot week when we were there. Overall great week.
