Casa Leeward is a spacious villa in the Water Villas Bonaire complex, right in the heart of Kralendijk. The villa sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The Space:

Casa Leeward offers generous living space across a well-equipped four-bedroom villa in central Kralendijk.



The villa has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 each feature a king-size bed; bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 each have two single beds. The open kitchen connects directly to the living room and is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and an ice maker. Outside, a private garden with a covered veranda and a balcony invites you to relax in the shade of the palms or enjoy warm Caribbean evenings. A BBQ grill completes the outdoor setup.

Good to know:

- No A/C in the living room: all bedrooms have air conditioning; ceiling fans and the open connection to the outdoor spaces keep the living room comfortable.

- City sounds: the central Kralendijk location means you may occasionally hear the lively sounds of town in the background.

As a guest of Casa Leeward, you have full access to the entire villa: all four bedrooms, all four bathrooms, the open kitchen, the living room, the covered veranda, the balcony, and the private garden with private pool. On-site parking is free and located directly at the property. The Neighborhood:

Casa Leeward is located in the center of Kralendijk, with the waterfront boulevard, docks, sailboats and motorboats at their moorings, and colorful facades all around. You are right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and the water taxis to Klein Bonaire. For divers and snorkelers, this is an excellent base thanks to quick access to the west coast dive sites; for foodies and shoppers, this is simply the place to be. Expect vibrancy, convenience, and the shortest travel times to all the amenities Bonaire's capital has to offer.



Casa Leeward is approximately 2.1 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket, 1.1 kilometers from Dive Friends Port Bonaire dive center, 1.2 kilometers from Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach, 2.3 kilometers from the center of Kralendijk and 1.4 kilometers from Sebastian’s Restaurant.



Sunwise insider tip: Did you know that Bonaire has more than 200 caves? Formed in limestone coral and shaped by centuries of erosion from wind and water, these caves offer a fascinating glimpse into the island's geological history. Only a small number are accessible to visitors, but those that are are truly impressive, featuring stunning stalactites and stalagmites, dark passages, and in some cases even pre-Columbian rock paintings. A visit to the caves makes for a wonderful change of pace from the beach and the water, and is well worth the detour for anyone looking to discover Bonaire's wilder, more hidden side. Casa Leeward's central location makes it easy to set out and explore.



Getting Around:

Although Casa Leeward is centrally located in Kralendijk and many things are reachable on foot, a rental car is still a must on Bonaire to truly explore the island. With your own vehicle, every corner of Bonaire is within reach at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots along the west coast to local restaurants in Rincon. We recommend that all guests rent a car to make the most of everything the island has to offer. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly recommended, as the roads inside the park are unpaved and can be quite rugged. There is no public transportation on the island and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in at Casa Leeward is available from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early or late check-in or check-out may be possible on request, subject to availability. Smoking and pets are not permitted in our properties. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum in the evenings out of consideration for the neighborhood. Enjoy your stay at Casa Leeward!
