About this house rental
In the heart of the Valley of Kings, come spend a relaxing time in Chanteloup in a house of the nineteenth century completely renovated in June 2018.
Ideally located 200 meters from the Loire by bike, 2.5 km from the city center of Amboise, and 50 meters from the wine cellar of the Closerie de Chanteloup where you can come and taste the wines and craft beers produced on our property.

Our group of 3 stayed for 2 nights at Maison de Chanteloup and had a wonderful time. Guichard had a fire going in the wood stove when we got there which was so welcoming! The house was rustic, but comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect - close to town, but quiet and relaxing. Guichard was very responsive to questions. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

The property was very clean and in a lovely location- just a walk into the town of Amboise. The property was well equipped with towels, cleaning supplies etc. We also enjoyed the pool.However access was a bit of an issue as the host did not respond to my messages regarding the entrance of the gîte. This was quite stressful as we were unsure as to which property was the correct one. However after we worked this out, the stay was very pleasant and we had a lovely holiday!

This home is the perfect country-side getaway with incredibly easy access to the town of Amboise. My family and I wanted to stay for a month, as opposed to the two nights we were lucky enough to visit. It is a gorgeous home. The fireplace is welcoming and perfect, and the living room is comfortable for card playing and eating dinner before bed. The location is very quiet, and is about a 6-minute drive into Amboise to visit local restaurants, shops, and amazing sites like the castle and Leonardo de Vinci's home. The town itself is quaint and sweet, and so easily walkable. The views of the Loire River from the town can't be missed.Communication with our host felt a bit limited, especially upon arrival, but I think it mainly had to do with a language barrier. Vincent is very, very kind, and runs a winery right across the street! Don't pass this place up - it is definitely a highlight from our trip.
