This was our favorite lodging in AK. The beds are comfortable plus sheets and blankets were very nice. The room was clean and well maintained. Wi-fi worked well. Everything has been updated since the owner bought it and it is well maintained. Super cute place with only a few rooms to rent. The morning coffee in the comfy little lobby is good. We appreciated the black out curtains in our room. Can't beat the location, right in the best part of town! For us, no TV in the room was an added bonus. We did not go to AK to watch TV. I hope to stay here again!

Excellent location. It is a short walking distance to downtown Seward. It is a beautiful walk to the port and docks. The walk is not so close, but the scenery makes it an enjoyable walk. The lodge is very clean, tidy, and quiet. The young lady at the front desk is constantly cleaning and folding linen and towels. The windows have curtains that block out the sun during the summer when there are long days of sunlight.
I would have given an "exceptional" review if the room had more furniture. The room needed a table or desk and a loveseat or small couch. Our room was large enough to accommodate these extras. A wall mounted TV would have been nice but not necessary. I used the shower stool as a table to eat my food. This lodge is great for the traveler that is looking for a short quiet stay that is close to town. For a family of four adult's, it can be restrictive. The roomy lobby is a common area for guests that helps overcoming the room shortfalls.
