Cheap and cheerful

We often stay in a chalet like this in Hemsby, this one was cheap and cheerful and just what we needed for a few nights away. They are all much the same, very easy to live in and generally quiet if you travel out of season. This chalet has parking close by which is very important for us as my husband isn't as mobile as he was. We liked the outside table and chairs, although the weather was dreadful with icy rain and gale force winds we did manage to sit there for an hour on arrival! All in all a good budget option if you're watching the pennies.

The bed is not a double, it's a three quarter which isn't clear in the listing. Also as others have said the message to tell you to pack your own linen and towels needs to be sent sooner. We anticipated this and had them ready but really it should be clearer. We were happy to pay the £50 security deposit but so far we haven't got it back! I'm hoping that's just because they're busy.

There was a enough facilities onsite to keep us busy

Not impressed with matress protectors that would not stay in place and after reading log in cupboard expected to leave the chalet clean that is fair enough ,but was expected to hoover and wash floors before leaving , do not think that is required as a cleaner should go in afterwards to do that

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely nothing

The fact upon arrival I had to go out and buy bedding and toilet roll due to not being told to bring own bedding it was a disgrace after 4 hrs driving to turn up and couldn't get in due to not having the key code to get in so ridiculous. I then received the instructions and information regards to key code and bring own bedding etc shorty after No lamps in bedroom had to keep getting up to turn light on and off The bed was slept in duvet left a mess not been cleaned washing up left on side to dry No toilet roll not even one left no tea and coffee to make a drink upon arrival Very outdated, the walls in bedroom was rough No black out curtains light coming through all night long Really shocking this stay was and we will not be returning

Very good

Cosy little chalet, basic but for a family on a budget it meant we could take our children on holiday. Comfy beds, all the basic facilities you would require so overall very happy and would come back.

Finding half an apple under child's bed and the odd hair on bath mat.

Lovely Hemsby Holiday.

Great location and holiday for a few days. Great communication from the owners. Chalet had everything we needed. And short walk to the local bus to get into Hemsby Beach or Grt Yarmouth.

Lovely area to stay in

the Location

The hygiene standards of the property where bad, in the kitchen area there was a bad smell like gone off spilt milk mixed with wet dog near the fridge area. The toilet wasn’t clean, I think it should say in the booking that they don’t supply towels or bedding or cleaning products before you agree to pay. Other chalets that I have stayed in on the same site have the Basic stuff for cleaning to get you by as well supplying bedding and towels. As it’s meant to be a home from home. i don’t feel like the upkeep is at the top of the list. I understand everyone has had a tough time with COVID-19. The fact that there was left over of human faeces under the toilet seat and having nothing what so ever to clean it with was unpleasant. At first I couldn’t get into the property and it took a day for the host to reply, at this point I could of lost out on having somewhere for me and my family to sleep. The Location of the property and parking where great and the site is good and quiet. Just a shame about the cleanliness of the property. It fair to say I will not book this property again for an extra £10 you can get same sized chalet with bedding, towels and cleaning products. Apologies to the owners if you see this but I’m just being honest.

Disappointing

Location in relation to the beach and the holiday park with the playground

The chalet did not appear to have been cleaned before we arrive so we had to clean it before we used the bathroom and kitchen. The beds were not very comfortable.

OVERALL excellent for a price and we liked it very much , the whole family

Did like the oven, hot water to be near to shop and the arcades kitchen were well equipped. The beach were a bit far but not too far. Liked the view and the village location.

one the neighbour were smoking weed. a little bit too noisy overnight as people were going home from the ARCADES.

We made the best of our stay but the chalet was very basic and not clean

was ok .But was Basic

Had to clean myself on Arrival.Melted lollies Left in fridge/Toilet had urine all on the seat/bath was dirty and dirty socks Left under bed.So it hadn’t been cleaned.

Great location. Close to amenities and Hemsby is lovely. More cooking / kitchen utensils needed.

Location and area. Lovely site close to amenities and attractions. Nice grassy area at front. Easy parking. Would return.

Limited cooking / kitchen utensils. Dietary issues meant we can't eat out and this made cooking a meal somewhat challenging.

loved the location perfect area! not far from the beach or entertainment.

could have been cleaner and had an old fridge and cooker outside the door, which didn't give great first impressions.

Lovely stay

Ideal location for us as a base, nice neighbouring facilities. Decent value for money, the chalet could do with a little tlc but we really enjoyed our stay.

Just a few diy issues curtain rail in main bedroom needs addressing it wasn’t attached properly and comes off when you draw the curtains and the toilet seat needs to be tightened as it wasn’t very secure.

Spacious, lovely shower, new white goods although didn’t use the cooker just the microwave

First was the old cooker & fridge left out side the property. Eyesore! Couldn’t sit out there. Artexing on walls in bedrooms dangerously sharp. Toilet seat needs fixing. Front door needs changing No WiFi, bad reception for my normal data couldn’t get a signal. Place needs updating & new beds!

Overall, it was good holidays but wouldn't like to stay in the same property again.

Location is very close to the beach.

The property is quite used and the smell isn't plesant.

This basic accommodation suited our purposes to be in the area to visit family.

The accommodation was convenient. The chalet park was well maintained and tidy.

Kitchen utensils were very basic and although there was a request to clean the property there were cleaning materials were limited. I hope that bedding and towels will be provided for future visitors now that Covid restrictions are easing.

Even a basic holiday should be better than this, fridge should be useable beds should be comfy.

The site was nice

The facilities were very poor. The sofa was very uncomfortable, it sank at the back. The fridge was not fit for purpose, it had one shelf that was right at the top and no others. We only just managed if there had been 4 of us I have no idea how it would have worked. It also had signs of rust at the bottom of the fridge. The cooker looked old although we did not use it. The beds were very uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in the double bed. The bunk beds were much worse, only one mattress that was useable the other ones springs were almost sticking out through the covering. The main bedroom had a problem with the walls as they were artexed and were very rough and could easily scratch you as you walked past to the point I walked sideways to avoid it. When we arrived some of the pots in the cupboard were sticky and needed washing. We also had a problem with the reception for the tv we contacted the owner and she did try to help but the remote for the tv seemed to be the problem or the aerial which appeared to be set differently to all the other aerials. These things could easily be sorted.

Could be cleaner!

It was a nice quiet area. Very safe and quite secluded.

Let's just say we left it cleaner than we found it. There were several things left behind by other people including coats and a baby's dummy
