The location was very good - in a nice quiet part of town where the only noise were bells on goats down the street The town and lots of restaurants were within walking distance (probably 15 min away) on quiet roads Parking was free and right in front of the house There is a small balcony which is always nice Well stocked kitchen including coffee and sugar and even some cookies

This was the 4th place we had stayed in Italy over the last few weeks - it was also the most expensive. I share this because value is relative and is tied to cost. Had this been half the price, my opinion might have been better Biggest negative was finding out AFTER we paid and drove 4 hours to get there that the host wanted an additional 25 euros cash for sheets and towels. This is the first time ever that I have been asked to pay for sheets and towels and not finding out till arrival was simply not right. I called Booking.com to ask if this was normal and they said absolutely NOT. I called the host and complained that they did not say anything about this until we arrived which I felt was deceptive - she then showed me a screen shot in Italian that might have explained this but I don't read Italian. There is nothing in the English description. Bottom line is that she can't ask for money outside of booking.com payment except for city taxes. Also they were the most threadbare towels ever - just to make things even more irritating. Secondly, this is a 2nd floor apartment which in turn has 2 floors. The first floor has the kitchen, the second floor had a sitting room with two couches that look like they turned into beds, a tiny bathroom and a bedroom. The stairs to the second floor are not just steep as other reviewers mentioned, they were downright dangerous and could be mistaken for a ladder. There was no way you could get a 20kg suitcase safely up those stairs and no way you could have a young child going up and down without supervision. If you are mobility challenged in any way, do not stay here. Hardest bed yet - and we have slept on some hard beds - but pillows were nice All in all, the ask for payment for sheets soured me completely on this place but trying to put it aside, had the place changed about half of what they did, my rating would have been higher but the value for money simply wasn't there - my advice is to keep looking.
