Spacious property, with good amenities. Peaceful, and nice to have the club house close by
The property hadn't been cleaned properly.
The floors were dirty - not swept. There was small bits of rubbish behind the sofas etc.
The fridge hadn't been cleaned, and the dishwasher still had dirty plates etc in it.
A frying pan in the cupboard had crusty food still on it.
There were no bin bags, or dishwasher tablets - both supposed to be provided.
When I mentioned this to reception they were demissive, and I was told that they don't clean properties mid stay! Finally they agreed to clean and restock the missing items.
We also had to empty all of the bins before leaving the property - which is something I've never had to do at a self catering property before!
On top of that the door lock was broken, so we couldn't get in. A member of staff came quickly to sort it out, but was rude and dismissive. It took a few hours to fully repair, and the engineer who did finally repair it was lovely and polite.
These things happen, however there was never an apology for the disruption this caused, nor an offer of compensation - not even a free drink.
Oh and also the beds were not great!

The location and the lodge was quite spacious
3 couple we’re staying , no arrangements for DB in one of the upstairs room .
Windows at the G level provisions needs to be make to secure the windows as with the climate one fan was not good enough and as the windows Opened 90degrees did not find it safe to leave it open , need some chain or restricted opening locks for cross ventilation .

Great location, great family log house. Was clean as well.
It was a bit stuffy at night, a fan would have been great, we left the windows open to let the air in on the ground floor with caution.
