The apartments were absolutely fabulous in a beautiful 600 year old building right in the old town. Everything inside - bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen was excellent and it kept all the old charm. Loved the old beams and view into the old town from the window. Bed comfortable and lovely bed linen. This place definitely deserves the exceptional marking. We loved Honfleur!

The location of the property is unbeateable. A stones throw from the Port and many cafes and restaurants but perfectly quiet at night. 24 hour parking (for 8 Euros per day ) is about 10 minutes walk away. Penny, our host was really welcoming from the beginning of our trip and sent us regular updates during our stay as well as tips for restaurants and excursions. She came to meet us on the last day of our stay and very kindly allowed us to stay well past the usual check out time to fit in with our onward journey. The property, an historic building dating from the 15th century is authentic and atmospheric whilst also being spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a few days stay. The kitchen facilities are excellent as is the modern bathroom with a great shower. Our apartment (Fleur de Lys) was on the first floor and whilst the stairs were narrow, the climb was not arduous and Penny offered help with our cases should we need it. We would love to stay again if we return to Honfleur.
