Nice neighbors. Property was exactly as described, close to the cove. Unfortunately the folks in the neighborhood where less than friendly, they clearly are not fans of renters.

My family and I really enjoyed this stay! There are plenty of beds to accommodate large groups. The lake is a short walk away. Grocery stores/entertainment is a short drive away. Two negatives about this home is that the living room does not accommodate sitting space for 10 people and also the backyard is quite steep so it’s pretty unusable although our dogs really enjoyed it. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay, and will probably book again if our group is smaller next time.

I'll start by saying, we had a really good time here despite a few issues. The proximity to the beach is a huge plus, the neighborhood is lovely, and the home is in good shape overall. I think we might try this place again despite the issues, just because the location is fantastic and it's great to have a pet friendly option when we want to bring the dogs along. However, we had a few issues pop up that either weren't addressed as promised or weren't addressed as well as they should have been. The driveway (which is fairly steep) was dangerously iced over when we arrived - the first time we tried to park, the car slid down into the street the moment my husband took his foot of the brake. We called and were assured the issue would be resolved within about 20 minutes. 2 hours later we called back and were informed that a partial fix could be done tonight, but that we would have to wait for a better answer tomorrow. Not ideal, as our second car-full of visitors was scheduled to arrive within the hour. The next issue was the dishwasher, which had several inches of standing water in it when we arrived. The repair guy did come to look, but wasn't able to resolve it. The property management company assured me they would send a partial refund to make up for the inconvenience, but we got home yesterday and I haven't heard anything at all from them. For dog owners considering this property, this company is phenomenally pet friendly. That was a huge plus for us! The back yard is gigantic, but there were a few spots where it was clear that a previous dog (or maybe a wild animal) had pushed through the fence and made a hole. I did mention it to the company as something that could use repair at some point, but if you decide to stay there with dogs do walk the fence line carefully before letting them out. We were able to pile snow up over the area, so our dogs had a fantastic time tearing around the yard.

We have stayed at Zephyr Cove for many summers. This is the 3rd home I have rented in this private neighborhood. The floor plan/rooms are just what we needed: private for adults and a large room for the kids, with multiple bunk beds. The check in process was very prompt and professional. I appreciate the nice bar-b-q grill and the kitchen was stocked adequately with dishes. Also, the washer and dryer were modern. A few negatives: the house was not very clean. The floors were very dirty and sticky,,, we had to sweep and mop ourselves. The counters, microwave and various pots and pans were dirty and greasy. Basically, the cleaning people did a poor job from the previous renters. Also, another downside was the stove- it is rather old with the electric/coil elements. Still, it was a great location, perfect weather and joyful to visit family and friends. We have arranged to rent again for next summer.
