Our 7th stay at Au Studio 36

We have stayed so many times it's like coming home now! This is a very nice studio apartment close to the town on a main road but quiet because it is at the back of the building. Secure parking right by the window behind locked steel gates. Small supermarket next door and Aldi and Lidl a short walk away. This is a great place to stay about an hour from Calais close to the motorways for onward travel through France or a morning trip back across the channel. Arras is a nice little town with a good market on Saturday morning.

Useful to know that there is a microwave and hob but no oven.

Mediocre stay, shame about the smells

The location is great and not too long a walk into the centre of Arras. The secure car park was ideal. The room had most of the essentials for a quick stop over.

It would really benefit from a good clean as it was fairly dusty on most surfaces. The room smelt quite damp, and there was a strong stale cigarette scent on the towels and bedding. The plug socket by the bed was not securely attached to the wall, not particularly safe. It wouldn't take a lot to make Au Studio 36 a more comfortable stay, just more attention needed to the details.

Nice apartment, good base for the night, secure parking, but get the Wi-Fi password before you arrive!

The apartment itself was very nice, well equipped and very clean. The parking was easily accessible and secure behind locked gates which was ideal as we were both on motorcycles. The instructions for access were easy to follow.

The property smelled of stale cigarette smoke and the bedding and towels, while clean, were quite unpleasant smelling (neither of us smoke and we chose a property which was no smoking for that reason). Also, we had requested no feather bedding as my husband has asthma and feathers make his breathing difficult, but the pillows were feather. There was no information on how to access the Wi-Fi either. I messaged the property on my husband’s phone asking for different pillows, texted, and via Bookings but they never responded.

Good stopover on a road trip

Nicely decorated place with easy access and private parking. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom.

Nice apartment in convenient location

This is a lovely little studio in the beautiful town of Arras. A great overnight stop going to or from Calais and well worth staying for a few days to see the centre of Arras with it's amazing squares and the Vauban Citedell.

Superb

Nice studio apartment, comfortable and well equipped with excellent WiFi. Very secure parking at the rear of the building right by the windows. This is a great place to stay going to or from France by ferry or the tunnel, right on the road leading to the motorway but easily walkable into town. Small supermarket nextdoor and Lidl a short walk away. Arras is well worth a visit and has excellent markets on Wednesday and Saturday.

Acceptable to stay for one night

This studio is well-designed, has a good location and a private parking. Carrefour is just a few steps away and if you want to cook, you've enough stuff at the studio which is quite handy. The instuctions to get into the studio was really clear and we could get into the studio easiliy, thanks to the host.

There is a strange smell coming from the dishwasher I guess. When we enter the studio, the smell was stuck in there and was a bit disturbing. There was also no soap. And I'm so sorry to share that but all the corners were quite dusty (especially near the bed) and spider webs on the ceiling :( It gave us an impression that no one has been there for a long time :(

Great little studio close to central Arras

Studio 36 was very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The location is quiet at night and only about a 15 minutes walk to the centre of Arras.

We didn't dislike anything about studio 36!

Nice apartment in convenient location

Very nice apartment, easy to find, on the main road but at the back of the building so quiet. Great location for a stop before or after the channel crossing. Well equipped. Secure parking behind locked gates and right outside the lounge window. Small supermarket very close, useful now that you can't take food from the UK. I've just booked again for our next trip and will continue to stop over here if it's available.

I couldn't get the kettle to work.

Cheap clean accomodation with useful gated parking a short walk from the town centre.

The apartment itself is very nicely done; clean, modern, tidy, and a really comfortable bed. Quiet too despite the main road outside as it's at the back. Gated private parking around the back good too. It's a good 10-15minute walk into town, but that's made clear when booking.

The building it's in is a bit scruffy, an impression not helped by the front door (to the building) being broken so you couldn't shut/lock it...but that won't be the fault of the apartment owner. The kettle had decided to die before we arrived but water heats perfectly well on the hob. A bit strange not to find either any handsoap or washing up liquid...but perhaps we'd just been spoiled in other accomodation the previous few nights. Some sort of visitor guide with eg the wifi details would have been helpful....but the host rapidly responded to our messasges so did get sorted. All of this is minor quibbling!

Exceptional

Very quiet place close to the centre of Arras. The car is behind a closed fence (private parking). Very nice and warm studio! We will come back for sure!

Contact with the owner who gave very clear direction and instructions for entering the property. Good city location and well equipped and comfortable and clean. Nice to get car parked up.
