This is the perfect Mount Desert home for a getaway with family or friends. Bedrooms and private baths on three different levels allow for plenty of privacy. The house is beautifully furnished and amply supplied, and the views of Southwest Harbor are gorgeous. We felt right at home and would love to go back!

Start to finish the property provided everything we wanted at a five star level. Well appointed, clean and a perfect kitchen. The sunporch was enjoyed all day long. Views, we’re excellent.

Property was excellent for our needs. Extremely well appointed with all the latest gadgets .South West Harbour also ticked all the boxes. We were lucky with the weather which is also important . One wet day indicated possible limitations of location. Delighted with our stay and Maine lived up to expectation.

Jaw dropping home and views! This home was so well-stocked and appointed for people of all ages. A keyless entry would be more convenient to avoid having to pickup and drop off a physical key, but the current setup certainly wouldn’t hinder us from staying again. We would have loved to have had access to (the empty) kayak racks, gazebo and docks as they seemed to be virtually unused.

We were a group of 8 adults (my husband and myself with our three sons and their girls) celebrating my big birthday. The house was great! Big, very well stocked and lots of comfortable seating. We did not use the lower level living room at all but it would be very useful if you have teenagers who'd like some separation from the adults upstairs. The owners were not on site in the adjacent garage apartment during our week. Based on entries in the guest book, they will leave you a blueberry pie if they're in town. We were sorry to have missed that as they sounded like friendly, lovely people. One thing to keep in mind is that the house is not air conditioned. We are southerners used to that "refrigerated air" and did find the house got warm (especially the upstairs bedrooms) on sunny days. We had a bedroom switch mid-week! A couple of AC units upstairs would make a real difference. We really enjoyed our time in Southwest Harbor. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect for a multigenerational vacation. The spacious rooms and bedrooms made for comfortable spaces for everyone from the grandkids to the grandparents. This property had the best equipped kitchen of any place we have stayed. Close to town and Acadia. We loved the property and the quiet side of the island.
