De locatie was top. Winkels, restaurants, opstap voor de veerpont en het meer liggen op steenworp afstand. Het uitzicht vanuit het appartement is fenomenaal. We waren er tijdens een hittegolf en de grootte en comfort + de airco in het appartement waren life savers. De keuken heeft alles wat je maar nodig hebt en er is zelfs een wasmachine en droogrek waar je gebruik van kunt maken. Wij vonden het echt een fantastische en prachtige plek! Tip: de veerpont vertrekt een paar meter verderop waarmee je zo naar Varenna en Bellagio kunt varen.
De deur van het appartement klemde enorm, je moest er met je volle gewicht tegenaan duwen. Daarom zou ik het (los van de vele treden bij de entree) niet aanraden aan oudere stellen. Verder is het aan te raden om oordoppen mee te nemen aangezien het een oud pand is en je de straat goed hoort in de slaapkamer. Als je met de auto komt houd er dan rekening mee dat er weinig parkeergelegenheid is in de omgeving. De vakken waar je gratis kunt staan zijn aangegeven met witte belijning, blauwe belijning is betaald parkeren. Wil je zwemmen? Tip: neem waterschoenen mee. De strandjes hebben allemaal stenen (sommige hele grote) die ook in het water spekglad kunnen zijn.
Verder zijn de winkels in Menaggio op zondag en maandag gesloten en zijn op de andere dagen tussen 12:00 en 15:00 gesloten voor siësta.

The apartment has been recently renovated and has many wonderful touches. More than enough space for a family of 4 and it is well appointed. The managers have gone out of their way to make sure is you need it, it’s likely there.
AC works GREAT! Furniture and beds are amazingly comfortable. Rain fall shower head was delightful. Closets all had hangers. Lots of outlets to include close to the bed which was great for medical devices and charging your phone. Welcome package with water, milk, snacks and wine was a big hit with everyone !!
The location to downtown, restaurants and the ferry is wonderful! Easily walkable. Short walk to the mini golf, pool and beach area for family fun! Supermarket is close but closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Apartment is also close to where you pick up the keys which is a plus. The management team is very communicative and sends clear, concise and timely instructions.
Not everything was as advertised. The front door to the location is on a very busy street and there is no sidewalk in front of the door - you are standing on the street next to a red light to open the door. Crossing to get there is also at a literally blind 90 degree - it is high adventure and the traffic is non-stop. If we had young kids, I would have been very concerned.
The parking is non existent- the add shows a P for parking but it’s only because parking exists in the city. This is complicated by the fact that you can’t drive up to the room and off load luggage based on location and traffic. You really can end up with quite a walk lugging all your stuff and then have to carry it up 4 flights of stone steps.
The add also shows balcony and garden chairs. No balcony chairs and we ever did find the garden where my daughter was hoping to hang out and tan and if the place i found was it, it was scary over grown.
Only other complaint was that it has a coffee pot that took pods but didn’t have any pods. A few to get is going would be great - especially since the supermarket was closed Sunday and Monday so we had no option to go buy any. For $500 a day, a couple of pods wouldn’t kill anyone :)

Spacious and clean apartment in a fantastic location.
The apartment is just besides the main road and the traffic noise could be audible even late into the night, particularly from the motorbikes revving their engines.
