It's exceptional for the price we paid for the room. Very comfortable and so much so that we booked an extra night when we returned to the area after our Douro cruise.

Breakfast was good, not sure about extra options for breakfast as they just offered scrambled eggs in addition to the breads, yogurt, meats and cheese.
Pool was clean and easy to access. Room was fairly dark for sleep and AC worked great. Location was close to grocery, gas, EV charging and easy to go in and out (parking is at grocery store for free).
It was difficult to find on the tiny road that Google Maps places the stay. Would actually be best to either let people pull into the driveway to check in and unload bags OR give guests different directions to the bottom entrance closest to grocery as there is a path that is not too long to walk and would be easier than the main entrance with car.
Would be nice if they had a front desk bell when you need help and displayed hours of service as no one is around from 1-3 but the number on the card wasn’t responded to before, during or afterwards. The number actually working is listed in the booking.com confirmation. But without knowledge of this 1-3 break it felt like they ignored us from 12-2:30 and there was no one to ask for help.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room, and the property in general, was spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water to shower. A good sized bathroom. A good breakfast. Hardly any sound from other rooms - either the soundproofing was very good or the other guests were very quiet! Location of Intermarché was very convenient! Aircon in the bedroom was very welcome, temp in the 30’s for the whole of our stay and road outside too noisy to sleep with the window open.
We asked the staff to book us a taxi on two occasions. Both times it arrived on time although was a private hire rather than a taxi and only cost €5 to go to the train station. The driver gave us his number and we just sent him a WhatsApp when we wanted to be collected. Excellent service!
Location wasn’t great, on a narrow, busy road. Access from the rear of the property was safer but meant walking up an awful lot of stairs. Not really an option to walk into the centre of Regua.
Our room was very, very small but had everything we needed for a three-night stay.
