The hosts were very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and the provenance of all the items was explained. The bed was very comfortable. Although we hadn't expected it, it was a nice change not to have a TV in the room. The hosts had left some small local biscuits out for us which were delicious. There are some beautiful walks nearby to observe geological features and a lake in the middle of the town with grebes and other birdlife.
It was not as easy as anticipated to find somewhere to eat in the town in the evening. (It was early September).

It was so cosy and so near to the town, it looked just like a fairytale cottage. The bedroom and bathroom were perfect and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was delightful, especially the crêpes, they’re so delicious. But above all, it’s the delightful hosts who make this chambre d’hôtes so fantastic. They’re so friendly and so kind and so willing to help. Natalie found us some pain au chocolats to take with us on the road because on Sunday we were setting off far too early for the breakfast, which was just so incredibly kind of her.
There is nothing I didn’t like.
