Almorah Hotel

Very clean and tidy. Carlos and Sylvina are amazing hosts. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location to get the bus down to St Helier, with bus stops very close to the hotel If you don’t want to a short walk in to town. Amazing views over St Helier from the terrace both day and night.

2 flights of stairs without a lift was a challenge

Hosts were fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was great with a good selection off hot and cold choices including a great Full English. The rooms had everything you need including a fridge with drinks and snacks which were very reasonably priced. I don't believe I have ever stayed in a hotel so clean. The whole hotel was spotless. Carlos and Silviana were always on hand for queries. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre and there is a great bus service no 19, 5 and 5a in the evening if the bit of a hill is too much. Would recommend this Hotel and hope to be back. The area is also very quiet.

The property is situated on a Hillside Overlooking St Helier No lifts in property It is not ideal for people with Mobility disabilities You definitely would need to hire a car or use Taxis which are expensive Bus Stop round the back of the property However you are Limited with times of the bus More Availability with Bus & times if you use Main Bus Station Liberty Square St Helier Our Room was King Size with Balcony Room no 5 large Room Only 1 small radiator to service the room Which for the first few days we were there it was cold had to ask for additional heating The walls between the 2 King Rooms are paper Thin you could hear TV in the next room talking & worst thing was the loud Snoring @ nighttime If your a light sleeper it’s advisable not to choose these rooms The Mattress was very Firm as I suffer with my back it was impossible for me to sleep I Asked for a Mattress Topper was told they didn’t have any I asked if I could have a Quilt that I could Double up was given one which the cleaner Doubled up for me & put under the bottom sheet I Thanked her for doing that for me but to be honest didn’t make a lot of difference I had read reviews before booking this Hotel & nobody had mentioned the the firmness of the mattress on the beds or would never booked this place Was told by the Man there they are all the same in all rooms people must have cast iron backs or to proud to mention this I have given an honest review of this Hotel & For us I wouldn’t stay again
