Free water, free coffee (did not try), free mask and fins, (they are expensive to rent..but if you want to swim as far as the shark.. I recommend to rent longer ones anyway)
Lady is really helping with all kinds of issues, questions or topics. She helped me call my next accommodation, helped book a tricycle, etc.
Let me check out a bit later etc.

The price is low, so the downside are :
-Cold water in shower (but totally OK in Donsol it is so hot anyway..)
-do not expect to sleep well. Really. It's hot (there is fan), a few Moskitos (not crazy many), there is a whole zoo/farm/pack of animals : 2 cows, 5 chicken that were more jetlagged than I am (they started being loud at midnight, then randomly at 4am?) a pack of dogs screaming for hours right below the window of ur bed (a window that do not really close) . And 1 of the morning some neighbours burnt plastic at 5 am, and it went all in the room somehow.
If your a good sleeper, maybe ok...?

In my room there was 0 furniture except 1 micro bedtable. Thats too little. Needs at least a chair or something
Room, bathroom is not new, but I guess normal for the price.

I can cook, wash my clothes with available hangging place outside, room is spacious and clean, and location is walking distance to the main highway and town center. Also, host is very friendly, responsive the expressed needs like table for my 'work from home' activity; and provide information and tips for daily activities. The place has vegetable garden too, making the place green and lively. The owner/host also allow guest to harvest vegies in her garden for cooking; i.e., ampalaya leaves. The host also offer some free food, when available, like sautéed monggo beans, pandesal, and provides free coffee.

We arrived at night on Oct. 17, 2025 at 7 pm. Unfortunately a storm system was forecasted to make landfall in the entire Sorsogon, Philippines. Therefore the following morning we decided to evacuate and relocate to a different Inn at a safer region.
Out of courtesy, we made no claims to our entire stay of October 18 to 20, 2025.
The entrance to the Homestay was less appealing. I could not make out the drive way because it was covered with tall grasses plus it was dark. The staff was only one, the owner. The room that I reserved was not what I reserved for. Originally, it was for a big room with a queen bed and a twin bed plus air conditioned. Instead the owner changed it to 1 big room and a smaller room the size of jail cell and non air conditioned just a fan. I stayed at the small room, yes there were mosquitos. The constant barks of many dogs kept me awake all through out the night.
