all was good, apartment in city center; great spot

Philip, your host, is a lovely chap. He is very attentive and is readily available should you need help or advice. The apartment we staying in was the 3 bedroom one and is very large. Super clean and well equiped (the kitchen had as much stuff as ours at home) but be aware that although has a full size hob and microwave there is no oven. Was not a problem for us. The location was good and all you could wish for food wise is available within a small walk. The town car park is very close, free and we never had a problem finding a space. This is a great base for exploring both East and West from the top of the island. Communication with Phillip was immediately responded to, oh and the WiFi is excellent...really liked that we had Netflix, a nice touch! We added a user called 'English'..hope that is ok Phillip! All in all we had a lovely time here.

Property was new , in an amazing condition, fresh and very spacious. it was more then enough space , with very equipped kitchen. the city itself is in between mountains and it was only 5 min walk to the ocean

Clean and comfortable modern flat in a gorgeous location. 10 min walk from the waterfront. Restaurants and shops from walking distance. Free parking next to the flat. The flat had a kitchenette with everything you need to cook. Balcony in bedroom and living room was nice. Easy and flexible check in / check out. Our host was very kind and even got us a welcome gift!

We visited during the wet season and couldn't get our towels to dry no matter where we hung them. I don't think this would be an issue outside of the rainy season. Everything else was great!

I can’t imagine a more perfect place in São Vicente. For the price of a hotel room you can be on a comfortable apartment in the center of the village. There are restaurants and a market in easy walking distance. Filipe is a wonderful and helpful host. Great views from my balcony.

First of all, Filipe is a great host. Contact before arrival was perfect. At arrival he came to bring us the key and explain everything in the apartment. It's small, but super clean, comfortable and has everything that you need. Filipe gave us a few tips right away for restaurants. The place where the apartment is located is small and therefor really calm and peaceful. And oh-my-god the view. All around you see green and mountains. It is indescribable how beautiful it is here. It's a 5 minute walk ('down' to the ocean) for just a few restaurants and a small grocery store. Once again: all you need. There's also a really nice bar called Porto de Abrigo. We stayed here for only 4 nights because we moved around the island, but would have happily stayed much longer.

We appreciated the location within the northern region and close by the sea as well as good shops and restaurants. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean. Two terraces and a patio were perfect. Host Felipe was kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

-Great location (well connected motorways) as base to our Madeira trip. Walking distance to supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and restaurants. -Generally quiet -Free spacious parking within walking distance. -Very spacious and exceptionally clean apartment with fully equipped kitchen (except for oven but we didn't need it), washer (helpful for long stays), balcony, fitted cabinets and comfy beds (with wide selections of pillows). -Homemade bread on one of the day was definitely a nice gesture! Note: very well thought off apartment to meet your general needs

-Although published as 3 bedrooms, the other 2 rooms were locked. Had to contact the owner to clarify, he came back to open one of the bedroom as requested (although didn't look too please) which was a bit of a disappointment at our side. We didn't need all the rooms but I feel it should be up to us to decide if we would use them or not since we paid extra for the space. - Sewage smell near the bedrooms which was a bit bothering. But we only noticed it on our second day (we stayed total of 8 days). We tried to open the windows and balcony to air out the smell which usually help. - Shower pressure was a bit low but bearable - Random loud noises/screaming from the outside passerbys in the middle of the night. It didn't happen a lot (3 nights) but when it does it was like 2-4am and doesn't last too long. Maybe we were unlucky. There was also loud TV broadcasting/party until late night one of the night but it was a Friday night so I guess it's OK. In summary I would still rate as 9 as there were actually more pros than cons. Would be happy to stay here again if we return the next time.
