Staff were extremely friendly throughout the hotel - checkin, swimming pool, cleaning staff - and the room was great as was the shower and the bed.
No washing up liquid nor sponge/teatowel made it quite difficult to wash up out plates. The shower head was broken and the battery of the safe was defect and had to be replaced.

The location within Souq Waqif was very convenient, and the reception staff were extremely understanding and helpful. When I raised a concern about my first room, they responded immediately and moved me to another room, which I really appreciated. Their helpful attitude definitely made the stay better.
The main issue was the obvious wear and tear in the rooms. The overall cleanliness and general maintenance could definitely be improved.
Breakfast was good, but the same options were served throughout my five-day stay. It would also be nice to have Karak tea and a few more local food and drink options, especially given the location in Souq Waqif.
The parking is conveniently located directly beneath the hotel, but the process of exiting was a bit of a hassle.
