Ideal location for a short break holiday especially out of season

The property is ideally located about a km from the centre of Wimereux. It is quiet. The balcony provides views of the sea which was delightful. A bus service to Boulogne is right outside or you could walk along the cliffs which would be very pleasant. The appartment itself was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with everything you could want for your stay.

The liaison with the conciergerie to hand over the keys could have gone better and they could have been more flexible. It took us a day to discover a booklet of operating instructions which should have been explained to us. The property was cold (we went in March) and we couldn't really work out how to heat it.

Superb

It was very nicely decorated, clean and warm with very good kitchen appliances. The bed and duvet were super comfortable.

The property was advertised having wifi and underground parking, but these were not available. When asked can we pay extra for wifi, the lady said, that they simply do not have wifi. When asked why we are not allowed to use the underground car park, we were told that our car is too large, but we just have an ordinary 5 door estate about size of Ford Focus. Neither of the staff we met could speak any English at all. It was nearly impossible to communicate with them and we did not receive any clear instructions on the house rules. At check out time, we were asked to place all dishes from dishwasher to the cupboard and take the rubbish bag out to the communal collection point outside.

NO WIFI !! in this day and age?? the kettle is dangerous - it doesn’t turn off and keeps boiling . no corkscrew…. in France ??! the “sea views” are blocked by unattractive buildings

Location great, would stay there again, just not in the same apartment!

Location was good, Wimereux is a lovely little town with excellent restaurants.

The process of getting the keys to the apartment was awful. When we rang the number we were given to collect the keys, the woman said she didn’t speak English and she didn’t know what apartment I was talking about. When we did manage to get in, we arranged to meet the lady at 9 o clock on the day of our departure, as we had to make our Eurotunnel booking. She did not turn up till 9:20, which was only as a result of us calling her to remind her. Unfortunately we could not just leave as we had to given 200 Euro to her at the beginning of our stay to cover any cost of damage to the apartment. As a result, we had to wait to get this back and almost missed our train.

Uitzicht kon beter. Je kijkt tussen twee gebouwen om mooi zeezicht te hebben. Op de site van booking.com denk je dat je een appartement op de zeedijk huurt maar helaas is dit niet zo. Overhandiging van sleutels hoort niet zoals het zou moeten. Je kan te laat binnen en je moet te vroeg naar buiten.
