Each summer, the Ironman competition passes right through our town of Wilmington! Bedroom Details: Marble Mountain Chalet sleeps 12 people. There are 4 bedrooms, each with king-sized beds. It comfortably sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms. 2 queen-size foam mattresses are available that can accommodate up to 4 additional people. If there are 12 guests, please know space will be tight, but you're on vacation and are free to decide what you prefer. The upper-level bedroom is a spacious, ensuite master bedroom with generous closet space. A second large ensuite master bedroom is conveniently located on the main level. On the lower level, the third and fourth bedrooms each have their own entrance for extra privacy, light, and easy outdoor access. All bedrooms boast flat-screen televisions, ceiling fans, oversized closets, warm color schemes, and comfy linens. A travel crib (pack n play) is provided for your convenience. All linens are included. Each spacious bedroom has warm, stylish colors and tasteful decor for a luxurious stay. The beds are comfortable and inviting for a restful night's sleep under beautiful, warm quilts. Extra pillows are on the beds for your enjoyment, and spare blankets are available for chilly nights. The master bathrooms are on the upper and main levels of the home and offer oversized custom tile showers. The lower-level bathroom has a steam shower. Also on the lower level is a relaxing Finlandian dry sauna, perfect for sore muscles and health! Kitchen: Our kitchen is a chef's dream! With expansive granite countertops and a full complement of tools and appliances, you'll enjoy preparing fantastic meals for the entire crew! Stools around the table/bar area enable your group to eat and gather together. Wireless internet plus local phone calling (USA only) is provided. Long-distance calls are not included. However, video and phone calls can be made using appropriate Wi-Fi apps. Additional Information: For your comfort, from June 1st to September 15th, we are pleased to provide the main and upper-level bedrooms and the living room with air conditioning units. The following items are minimally supplied (enough to get you started): toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, and bath soap. Linens are provided, including bedsheets, washcloths, and bath towels, to use during your stay. We do not supply kitchen spices, condiments, hand towels, beach towels, shampoo, body soaps, or charcoal. A plow service shovels snow (above 5 inches) in winter. Sand and a snow shovel are available on the front deck for guest use. Note: We have a septic system. The home is ideally situated, just 1.9 miles from Whiteface Mountain Resort, a 15-minute drive from Lake Placid, and steps from hiking trails that vary from relaxed walking beginner trails to hard climbs/expert trails. Be sure to visit the beautiful Wilmington Flume Trails, a 3-minute drive from the chalet. Boasting over 283 acres of skiable terrain, 86 trails, and 11 lifts, Whiteface Mountain has the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies. It features diverse terrain for beginner skiers and snowboarders, expert glades and slides for the advanced, and loads of trails for everyone in between! The longest run is the 2.1 mile 'Wilmington Trail,' and total ski and snowboarding trails stretch over 22 miles. Whiteface Mountain is truly fun for everyone! In summer, Whiteface offers splendid views, gondola rides, mountain biking, 4x4 expeditions, extreme tubing, and more. Our handyman service is on call 24 hours a day for any issue during your stay. All USA & Canadian Holidays* are subject to a minimum of 3 to a 6-night stay at the Owner's discretion. Two (2) night stays are considered at the Owner's discretion, and there is a cleaning fee, a Damage Protection Policy fee, and a 5% Essex County bed tax. The Damage Protection fee covers accidental damage to furniture, appliances, electronic devices, windows, doors, and any home resource up to $1,500.
