Lovely location about a 20 minute walk away from the main area of Varenna but a walk post the botanical gardens each day. So peaceful in the morning and stunning view with a private terrace.

Lot of climbing to get to rail station ..very hot and humid when we were there. An outside canopy would be desirable. Air con very good,

We had good hopes for our first stay at Varenna, we enjoyed everything we saw or did but not the place we stayed.
The lodging was not a hotel: little care, a low bar, a room that asked us to supply what should already have been there.
