The property was basic with a nice view. Homemade veg dinner was cheap and delicious. The same for breakfast. The owner was very nice and you could take a sunrise rice tour which was amazing!
It was very noisy. If people are staying outside after dinner and talk, you can hear everything from the room.

We booked Jeff’s place for 3 nights based on the very positive reviews and we were not disappointed!
The views from the verandah are delightful, the breakfasts delicious and the optional shared family dinners great value.
The rooms are nice and the bathrooms clean and with good showers.
We booked a full day tour with Jeff which included trekking across the rice terraces at dawn, pop into the local school, breakfast back at the guesthouse, visit to Todo traditional village, short hike to see the Lingko spiderweb fields and a tour around the Ruteng markets. All very good.

Loved this place.
From the welcome tea/coffee, to a shared vegetarian traditional dinner (30K rph), a sunrise ricefields (100K) walk and visit to a local school this place was perfect. I wish we had been able to stay a second night and just enjoy the rest of the day relaxing before the bats appeared in the evening.

Jeffery and his family have a lovely homestay, they were so welcoming. The homestay has a great view of the rice terraces and we had a family style dinner with all the guests where we learned more about Indonesian culture. Jeffery also offers a sunrise trek through the rice fields which was beautiful. We highly recommend Sun Rice Homestay.
