THE PERFECT BREAK AND PERFECT ACCOMMODATION

Very poor and expensive back street room being passed off as an apartment.

The apartment was reasonably clean. Clean bathroom. Ground floor, I'm disabled.

Poor low standard furniture, the bed kept sliding in two and the smoke alarm bipped all night, we did report it. We didn't like that after you had booked you were then told they needed ID sending via phone and £100 holding fee which they kept for a week!

Great location

Dirty pots in cupboards. Smell of drains. Bugs/spiders. But the worst part, Bed bugs. Found a few of them in the bed. The mattress was disgusting. Reported bed bugs but only got offered a change of sheets. 2.5weeks later and I'm still suffering with the bites. I've stayed in many places and never once had a negative experience.

Not an ideal location for a baby as too many drug addicts around causing the smell of cannabis

There is social housing within the same building and the residents loiter outside smoking cannabis. The hallways had this smell too. The toilet was brown and appears like it has never been bleached. Not child friendly at all. The woodwork above the door fell through and debris went into my daughters eye. The host did not seem concerned and advised that the debris is minimal and wouldn’t have caused harm. They declined a refund but offered the use of another property 5 mins away. This apartment was colder and did not have parking. However more spacious but floors hadn’t been swept and room full of dust, cobwebs and spiders. This building also had social housing residents. The keypad entry system is quite loud so would wake me up throughout the night when residents would come and go.

Great location, flat ok.

Location was fantastic! 5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to the shops, and 5 minute walk to westcliff station! what more could one wish for except the weather, to have a perfect holiday!

Door of apartment is fitted with an electronic number lock, which wasn't alighned with the door, unfortunatly we got locked out the first night, so we had to drive back home to sleep! though credit to the managing agent who came to repair it promptly in the morning (well, midday). Parking was easy, but has to be paid for. It was a shame, not all the windows were operational, as it was quite stuffy. The replacement fridge/freezer was small but adequate.

Bed small, shower too small for rainforest shower head. Washing machine didn't work and flooded floor on day 1 due to being full of water. Bed sofa uncomfortable

Never again will I trust Booking.com to do anything for my travel needs!

Absolutely nothing. The place was a lie, schamm, rip off, and a filthy hole! Booking .com knows I did not stay there, and did absolutely nothing to resolve the situation, nor help me in any way, shape, or form! The pictures were all lies and deception. There was no tv, no internet, no ocean view, the bed was broken down, and the place reeked of cigarettes from people smoking. The pictures you see right here on this page are a deceptive lie! There was no stove, bathroom was a joke, and after finally locating the bldg. with the help of an emergency service worker, they demanded a cash deposit of $120.00 U.S. dollars to recieve a door code. Everyone that uses booking .com should read this review. I'm currently in dispute with their charges, I was flat out lied to, deceived, ripped off, and forced to rent a new hotel in Southend on Sea, England! The Westcliff Garden management has even lied thru their teeth as to the real scope of the situation when confronted with my numerous complaints. They lied to me for 3 days saying they would give me proper accomodations, knowing that I would eventually leave. They then told Booking.com that I simply refused the room that they offered and left. Booking.com is trying to make it look like they are not aware by sending this survey to me. I contacted them and the local Essex Police immediately upon seeing what I got burned for. It is all currently under investigation by the bank and other authorities. I will return to England to prosecute these thieves, and see to it that it never happens to someone else again! I also hold Booking.com directly responsible for the things that happened to me. I have pictures, and documentation of my experience while in England. My hoilday was ruined! I can tell you right here looking at these pictures of these supposed Westcliff Garden flats and studio apts. that they "are not" the apts. and flats I saw. It's all a set up, and a fraud.

it’s very close to The cliff Pavilion, our main purpose for staying there, just sort the curtains out and put a rug down

In general, large and comfortable . well equipped . clean . tv in both main room and bathroom

The windows were very draughty and the curtains didn’t fit the windows so it was quite cold and very bright early mornings a nice rug in the main area would make it more comfortable

Superb

Great location, close to westcliff station and well served by public transport and various amenities. Very close to the seafront, it is a few minutes walk to the centre of Southend. The flat has everything you need for even medium to long stays. Excellent value for money.

Good for solo travellers

The position is good. The chap tried his best to help me sort out the problem I was having with WiFi. Unfortunately, he could not manage it. But if you have a smartphone or IPad that takes sims it should allow you to get things working

There was a problem with the WiFI not working in the apartment. I had to buy a sim for my IPad for that and to be able to watch TV at first, but an Ariel wire helped get some stations.

Spacious apartment in the heart of Westcliff with really good walking and transport links. Needs a clean though🙃.

Spacious, bed was alright uh it was good for what I needed. Shower was good. Walking distance to where I was working. Kitchen tools, plates and trays for oven are I think brand new! Transport links are really good.

Needs a proper clean. Floor was dirty in each room of the apartment, the bed has like dried wall paint on the bed, couldn’t tell then if the bed was washed / cleaned. The chairs in the kitchen were mucked up when I got there. they are the white plastic chairs with metal frame? They look like someone has spilt some brown sauce all over them and it was never cleaned… I also think providing kitchen Cloths or towels would help anyone cooking and maybe over gloves as you provide an oven maybe a good idea to have something to stop your hands from potential burning.

newly renovated and clean kitchen & bathroom

situated on 2 levels with space to sleep 6. 2 double beds & a sleeper couch. furnished with the very basics to qualify for Airbnb status; ‘plug next to bed’ but no bedside table, bedside lamp on the floor. makeshift curtains and insufficient window covering.

Superb

The apartment had everything we needed as if we was at home. Train station, a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs close by. We have family in the area, so our stay was to see them. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back *******

Clean and tidy, excellent base, little small for couples.

The location is excellent. You are about 100m from the sea and a row of food places which do good breakfasts with a view. About 15 mins walk up the prom and your with the amusements and pier. Around 100m in the other direction is the Railway and 150m further on is Westcliffe main street an a couple of good bars. It's also very clean.

We went as a couple. Not sure if id recommend that. It's very small and if your a big lad like me, the bathroom is a struggle and if your there for a few days, your basically on top of each other. As daft as it sounds, there is no cupboards for your clothes or even hooks in there so if you bring a shirt, there is nothing to hang it on. We had to take pictures off the wall an use the hooks which isn't ideal. As a bloke, it was sound for me, our lass, wasn't overly impressed. Although there is some had reviews on the owners being rude I didn't find this. You will need a ton down as deposit which they need before the stay and which can take some time to come back. They advised me 7 days but it took 24 hours. Didn't find them rude like is reviewed.
