About this cottage rental
Located in Paonia, this charming cottage for $125 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Behind one of Paonia's oldest historic homes, you'll find the wonderfully private Studio Cottage. This spacious studio cottage is nestled in a mature, shady garden with relaxing front porch, a hammock under a grape arbor, and outdoor dining area. Equipped with excellent WIFI, and offering weekly and monthly discounts, it's a wonderful spot for a working vacation. Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and wind chimes is complete magic! The cottage is outfitted with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful month, week or weekend in Paonia including a small library of books by local Paonia authors. We DO have good WiFi, but DO NOT have TV. The cottage is conveniently close to everything that is great about Paonia as downtown is only a five minute walk. There you'll find your choice of great restaurants including the Back Country Bistro, The Living Farm Cafe, The Flying Fork, Louie’s Pizza, and the infamous Revolution Brewery, or attend a movie, concert or yoga class at the wonderful Paradise Theatre or Blue Sage Center for the Arts. Tour the numerous local wineries which are within a 10 -15 minute drive from the cottage, or take a leisurely drive through the valley to see all the bounty and beauty of our many organic farms and orchards. Great hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and world-class trout fishing are all within easy reach. Paonia boasts fantastic musicians, writers, artists and craftspeople along with many festivals such as Cherry Days in July, Mountain Harvest Fest in September, and a local film festival in early Spring. While visiting Paonia and the North Fork Valley, you will experience some of the most spectacular scenery in Western Colorado; the Black Canyon National Monument, Grand Mesa, West Elks Scenic Byway, the historic mining towns of Redstone and Marble, and both Kebler and McLure passes are all within an hour and a half drive. Crested Butte, Telluride and Aspen are 2 to 2-1/2 hours from Paonia.

Quiet, beautiful cottage in a picturesque setting. Able to cook meals, and enjoyed food at winery's nearby as well. Hosts communicated well with us and were very welcoming.

Cottage was quaint/charming on a pleasant st 2 blocks from Grand St. It was stocked nicely with the exceptions of no ice, no shampoo, and no cream for coffee. Also, no tv. Main issue was that most of the resteraunts were closed ( we were there in the 3rd week of Aug).

We were so thrilled with our accommodations. They were just as the property was described but even more wonderful to enjoy in person. Paonia bread works (cash only!) and sweet grass had wonderful breakfast options. All within walking distance. The farms and vineyards are just a quick drive up the road. We would absolutely stay here again should we find ourselves in Paonia.

We loved our stay in this adorable guest cottage in Paonia. Quiet spot in town, with a lovely garden. Definitely recommend a nap in the hammock!
The town is very walkable - we only used our car when we wanted to visit the nearby wineries. Highly recommend Berg Harvest & Mercantile for visitors to Paonia.
There is no microwave in the kitchen, which meant we needed to get creative with heating up our leftovers. That was minor enough that it did not diminish our enjoyment. The bed is comfortable, and the cottage cools off nicely with the in-unit AC during the heat of the day. At night we simply opened the windows. With the altitude, the nights are cool and pleasant.
We will look here first when we come back to Paonia!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage.The location is great! Just a short walk to downtown and the grocery store. The outside garden is lovely and comfortable. The cottage was clean and the kitchen had everything one would need.We stayed during the summer and the cooling system kept us comfortable. Parking on the street was easy. I totally recommend the cottage as a place to stay in Paonia.
One last recommendation…. Ask the local shop owners about the best restaurants. There is also a health food store located on the Main Street downtown.

We spent 5 nights in this wonderful cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our time. There is lots to do in the area, and it’s a great place to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed two nights in this great cottage. It is perfectly outfitted. So comfy and inviting inside and out. We enjoyed making meals and relaxing at the space! We also walked around the downtown area and enjoyed some great eateries, coffee and galleries! We spent part of an afternoon at the Azura winery with fantastic wines, food and views. We visited Living Farm and grabbed some fresh eggs and produce. It was a perfect relaxing getaway! We love this cottage and the whole Paonia area.

Quaint and quiet
Really enjoyed our stay here in September. The garden is peaceful and private and the kitchen was very well appointed. The photos are very accurate and reflect the work the owners have done. The added bonus was the cat, who magically appeared every time we returned. A real joy to chill with on the porch. Would return.

Cozy cottage in great location
Felt at home immediately. Well equipped .Especially loved the outside space . A lamp by the sofa and a little shelf for toiletries in the bathroom would be my only suggestions. Will definitely stay here again. Only wish they would accept our little dog, Henry.

Great cottage for two!
My husband and I loved our stay at this cute cottage. This is our 2nd time in this cottage since we enjoyed it so last September. The place is well cared for and on a beautiful property. The Wi-Fi could be stronger (since we get such bad cell service-Verizon-although the cell issue is well explained by the owner so it wasn’t a surprise). It’s an ideal location too, close to the grocery store and Grand Ave. The cottage is only 1 room but the outside area is comfy too to sit with your morning coffee. It really has all you need! Thanks Greta for a great visit!

Really perfect!
This cottage is so perfect! They have anticipated everything one may want in this small studio and it was very clean, quiet and comfy. And the location is perfect-just 2 blocks from Grand Ave and the market. Beautiful landscaping and outside seating too.

Superb in-town cottage!
I had a very comfortable stay in this attractive, adorable, and very clean Paonia cottage. It has everything one could possibly need and the outside area with the table, umbrella and hammock are wonderful. Nexus, the neighbors’ friendly black cat, came to visit which made me feel right at home! Thank you, Greta, for your kind hospitality. I hope to stay again!

Would recommend a little higher light wattage in the unit and better path lighting from the street to the cottage. Other than that everything else was wonderful.

The cottage was delightful and and so relaxing. Enough room to spread out, a great kitchen with everything we needed and so well appointed. Paonia is a lovely little town and the cottage was a perfect place to be, just blocks from our favorite restaurant. We look forward to returning.

Cute spot with everything you need!
My husband and I were in town for a wedding and this guest cottage has everything you need for a night or two in Paonia. No TV, which was actually nice for a few days. We were also able to enjoy the chairs/hammock outside during some nice weather. The owner was very responsive and sent us a message to make sure we arrived safely.

Someone has done a great job decorating this space. Everything including the yard/garden space is inviting and comfortable. The owners are very responsive. I look forward to staying here again - great little writing retreat space.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful location
We really loved our stay in Paonia and at the cottage. Everything was exactly as advertised, it was clean, quiet and spacious. We didn't do any cooking but we could have as the kitchen was better than most homes and the bed was super comfortable. It's walking distance to Main street where almost all the activity is. Plus, it was great to lay in the hammock and pick delicious grapes from the vine. We will definitely recommend to our friends.
