Beautiful little cottage, with enough room for 4. Very clean and well kept. The grounds were beautiful as well. Lots of birds, evidence of deer. The owners were responsive and easy to contact. The only not so positive issue was the water pressure in the kitchen. Owners definitely tried to repair but could not during our stay. We made do, and had a wonderful time.

Wonderful retreat on the southern edge of the Black Forest area of Colorado Springs. We stayed for 34 days, all of June and first days of July. So restful to get away from the busy traffic in most of the area. We have family that live nearby in Meridian Ranch and it was a pretty drive on country roads to go visit them.

It was a perfect week. The house was clean and cozy. The property was beautiful and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. The hosts were pleasant and friendly. It was all we could have asked for and more. Thank you so much for everything.

We loved the cottage. Mark and Angela were very hospitable. It was so clean, the location was perfect and we loved that it was secluded from all the city lights and we were able to stargaze and watch meteors at night . I can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our time here! The kitchen was great to cook in and we enjoyed eating dinner on the outdoor deck. It was an easy drive for lots of beautiful hiking and lots of fun things in surrounding towns. The place was clean and the host provided lots of snacks that were yummy. Would definitly stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. We had everything we needed. It was just outside of town on the main house property and was so quiet and safe. We were 15-20 min drive to everything we wanted to see and a Walmart close by for groceries. The house had everything we needed. We had a wonder stay!

My wife and I truly enjoyed staying at The Ranch. Our hosts were Super. Every room was spotless. The kitchen was larger than expected, and the best equipped we have stayed at. No question, that we would stay here again.

I stayed here for a week with my father and we both loved the property. My father enjoyed the cottage and learning all about the owner’s’ family history. As we were coming back from the springs we saw a herd of mule deer on the property, very cute. Loved the gift basket of snacks, the chex mix was perfect for our hikes. The bottle of water and chocolate mint next to the beds was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend for anybody who needs to getaway .

The hosts and the cottage were fantastic. The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us and was in a great location. The goodie basket, toys and kids books were a very welcoming touch. We had a great vacation there and would absolutely stay again of we're ever back in the area.

We had such a wonderful time. The cottage is secluded but close by to all amenities. The furnishings were cozy and immaculate. We took this vacation to unwind and relax. Mark and Angela were perfect hosts. Checking in to make sure everything was ok and went out of their way to remove all products that contained coconut that James is allergic to. There was a welcome basket with treats and Angela brought over delicious homemade strawberry jam. We could not have asked for a more perfect getaway and will definitely stay again at our next vacation in the Springs. Five star plus all the way. Thank you for your warm hospitality

We stayed almost a month and enjoyed everyday. Angela and Mark are very friendly and such good neighbors. Plenty of room to spread out. Plenty of trails to explore. My only con would be a newer TV. It truly is a beautiful country oasis in Black Forest. Close to everything near Colorado Springs.

The house was exactly as it was described which made things so much less stressful when traveling with young children. The amenities were perfect with all details well thought out. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June. The cabin is a charming country retreat. It has a full and well stocked kitchen, you could prepare Thanksgiving dinner with all of the pots, pans and plates available. Appreciated that there were condiments in the fridge to use. The cabin has lot's of nice extra's for your stay, we even found sleeping masks and ear plugs the bedroom dresser. The cabin is filled with the Bissels' family pictures and we enjoyed talking with Mark about his family and working ranch. 160 acres are available for walking and taking in the peace and quite of the countryside. Lot's of wildlife to see. The only thing missing was a guest information book which would and been helpful to have about how the cabin works and where you can walk on the property. Other than that I would highly recommend the place.

Mark’s place is wonderful! It’s remote enough to relax and feel peace yet close enough to civilization! The cottage was super clean and they have anything and everything you would need to enjoy your stay! I had a chance to speak with Mark for a bit and he’s a stand up man with a great heart and mind. We really enjoyed the wildlife right outside the windows and highly recommend this rental. This is easily a 5 star rental and great value!
