About this house rental
Welcome to Powder Peak – this cozy, family-friendly home is just steps from the skiway and has everything you need for your Silver Star vacation.
Walk in the front door to a large entryway where you can store all your gear. Just grab your skis and start your day! From here, head upstairs to the main living area which has an open-concept and features a beautiful and fully stocked kitchen, dining area with a long table for everyone to sit at and cozy living room with a gas fireplace. Powder Peak has big, beautiful windows to let in all the natural, mountain light.
On this level, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom with a standup shower. Just off the hallway is where you will find a small deck with a BBQ and from here, you can head downstairs to the shared hot tub.
From the main level, head upstairs to where you will find the rest of the bedrooms and an open den which is perfect for kids after a long day on the mountain – watch a movie or cozy up on the couch and read a book.

This home has great ski in and out due to its central location and lower Knoll location. Full of light and tasteful finishing – this home will impress you as soon as you enter the roomy and bright mudroom with storage for all the gear.
Bonus: The semi-private hot tub is open year round.
The hot tub is on the ground level and can be accessed by the stairs off the back deck. This is shared with the suite as well.
Parking: There are two outdoor parking spots available during your stay.
Ski Access: A quick walk across the road gets you on the skiway to the village and lifts and an easy return home at the end of the day.
Enjoy all the comforts of home in every one of our properties. Each unit features a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, and secure keyless entry for a smooth and convenient stay.
Powder Peak Upper is a fully equipped house with its own laundry facilities. Housekeeping is not included during your stay but if you require additional housekeeping during your stay it can be arranged at an additional cost.
Note: May be rented with the ground floor 1 bedroom suite if available. It is connected via an interior stairway so just opens up as one large house. Otherwise, this suite may be occupied.
Please Note: Minimum of five nights during the Christmas/New Years Period.
Special feature: Our unit has a keyless entry (you will be provided the access code prior to arrival). This makes it convenient for you to arrive at any time after check-in time - so if you want to check in late or come a day early arriving late at night - you could just make first tracks in the morning.
Your hosts live at Silver Star during the winter, so we can ensure your holiday is everything you expected. We are also available to provide you with our "insider" tips so that you will love Silver Star as much as we do.
Maximum stay for this property is one month - want to stay longer? Just ask and we may be able to consider it.

Nice space and good ski-in/ski-out access.Turn on fan exhaust when cooking, smoke alarm is sensitive. Bring flip-flops for the hot tub.

The house was very clean, great location and host was easy to get ahold of. suite can be rented below you so if you have a full house (12) be careful because of noise complaints! Other than that, was a great place.

Overall it was a good enough property, a bit expensive but competitive. Snow was not shoveled so we had to clear regularly as we received snow nearly every day. No one came by to bring fresh towels or provide any sort of housekeeping during the 7 nights we were there. I would prefer to have a private hot tub instead of sharing with the ground floor suite.

Let's start with the pros:-House has a great location, ski out to the Silver Woods chair, and 50-100 yard walk to ski paths to main village or main lifts.-Street is nice and quiet.-Beds are ok.-Best equipment rental for cooking I have ever experienced, which was really nice.The cons:-Cleanliness for busy areas was good, but corners and less obvious places were lacking, cobwebs in a few corners and on lights.-Overall house condition is well used and worn, could really use some TLC.-Furniture condition is poor, and very well worn. Benches for kitchen table were so worn and week you basically half sank through them, and it was hard to even sit on them. Rail for one bunk bed was wobbly and half attached.-House is advertised as "whole home", and this is not the case. There is a separate suite on the bottom level. The ad does disclose this in the finer print in the description if you do all the reading, but I still find that description misleading.If this unit was say 500 a night this review would be significantly different, but for 1000/night, mid week, in mid January (off peak times), I found the rental disappointing for the price.
