The location

The bed in the living room is very uncomfortable . They don’t have air conditioning for all the apartment. And the only air conditioner available makes lots of noise.

Superb

Beautiful flat in a great location. Quiet street but very close to shops and cafes. Comfortable bed. Spacious.

No real issues. The bathroom smells a bit weird but that's the city drains and not the flat. Some soap dishes by the sinks would be useful.

in historic area. huge apartment . set in a gorgeous courtyard . 6 adults and more than enough room

this is the most incredible place we have stayed in. spacious and with so much attention for every detail in the apartment. completely the same as shown in pictures

Wonderful property in historical Cadiz

Amazing location, easy check in, high ceilings, plenty of space.

Couldn’t figure out how to make the property warmer at night. Even with the comforters, it was pretty chilly in the evenings.

Feedback on La Botanica Duplex

Great location, nice accomodation.

1. I was upset about the fact that we could not access the roof terrasse. Personnel al Alquiler Vacacional were polite but not helpful to provide the key. In the end the key was found hanging on the wall next to the roof door and we had a glorious time at sunset above the city. All visitors should be allowed up. 2. The is a foul smell after showering in the upstairs bath. Suggest to fix asap. Again, Alquiler Vacacional did not respond to my complaint.

Disappointing drains, horrible lighting, friendly ants (lots of them)

The overall ambience of the property was lovely - clearly, at one time, it was a lovely, high quality building and that can be seen in the size and architecture. The location is quite good - relatively easy to walk to the main attractions.

Unfortunately, the underlying quality of the building was let down by some poor maintenance issues. The main shower/bathroom couldn't be used for 2 days (out of a 4 day stay) as the drain was blocked and disgusting black waste water came up through the drain - (when the bidet was drained the water came up into the bath - ewwww!). In all rooms (mainly lounge, main bedroom, dining room and hall way) there were ants crawling of surfaces. If you sit in the lounge, after a few minutes, you will find ants crawling over you. Clearly the photographs have been taken by a professional and really well lit - in reality the rooms are quite dark and lit only by horrible 'green' fluorescent bulbs. The lighting really spoils the evening atmosphere. The 'headboards' behind the beds actually consisted of fabric pinned to the wall - which was loose and hanging off.

We only stayed for a couple of days with our child,so decided not to ask for a change, but the smell in the bathroom at

The location was excellent. The flat was spacious and stocked with interesting books and very stylishly decorated. There was a lift too Everything was within walking distance. Really enjoyed the space and the books. The kitchen was spacious too.

The bathroom, though big and spacious had a smelly problem. The sewage system was not perfect and there was a stench everytime we went there, although we had the windows open. WE were told it was because of the rain, but later learnt that this is a common problem in Cadiz, as plumbing cannot go down very far, for fear of discovering a Roman ruin which will then stop all work.

Great location in the heart of historical Cadiz

The location was fantastic, once we got our bearings we could walk easily to everywhere we wanted to visit - Botanical Gardens, Central Market, train station. The rooms were nicely furnished and airy, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking dinner. The (half-capacity) washing machine was really convenient since we were travelling for a longer period of time.

Since we were staying for a week, I would have appreciated fresh towels and sheets half way through our stay (something that was standard, rather than a paid extra, in similar properties in Greece). There were no towels in the second bathroom at all, which was a shame. Perhaps because of being so close to the sea the main bathroom sometimes smelt of drains.

Pleasant

The apartment was well situated in the old town

The hot water in the master bathroom in the right basin was only a trickle and not hot!! The hand shower in bath was broken. Could have done with a Nespresso (or similar ) coffee maker

Perfect location and spacious apartment

The location is perfect as right in the middle of the old town. On our arrival Paula was fantastic and very welcoming. Cadiz is a lovely city and everyone was very friendly. It would have been helpful to have had a second set of keys but overall very happy.
