This unit was amazing. My family was very impressed. It had everything we needed.

Probably only blemish are the cracked tiles in upstairs bathroom.

Unfortunately the most disappointing of all 5 accommodations on our vacation.

The Dunes 6 is located in a nice vacation park with direct beach access. Plett is easily accessible in about 10 minutes by car. The entire complex is fenced and secured and quite well maintained. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

The apartment The Dunes 6 needs urgent renovations practically everywhere. In the bathroom, the floor tiles are broken, the bathtub drain is clogged, the advertised underfloor heating was turned off by the owner, the tumble dryer is defective. The staircase construction is very dangerous and unsuitable for people with limited mobility or for small children. Under the stairs there are a lot of boxes and packages with unknown content which disturbs the living atmosphere. The bunch of keys found in a small safe contains a lot of different keys, but none of them can lock the door to the courtyard, which would have been a great security advantage, because the front door was old and rickety. Contact with the host is only by WhatsApp (this was the only time in our entire vacation that we had no personal contact). Check-in and check-out without meeting a human :-(. Answers to specific questions via WhatsApp sometimes took 4-5 hours. Unusual for South Africa was also that there was no basic equipment in the kitchen (no salt, sugar, tea, coffee). There was also no gas stove for load shedding, only an LED lamp with empty batteries. Sure it was self-catering but so were all of our other accommodations and this was the only one where they cut corners.

Would never stay with this host again & they have multiple properties. Lovely location with great potential but brok

we wanted to love this place as it has such potential - but we would never stay with this host again.

the place was filthy, from the floors to the kitchen to the cutlery. everything was basically falling apart - tiles broken and loose in the bathroom which is dangerous, towel rail falling off the wall, couches were dirty, the tumble dryer did not work. walls need to be wiped down they were filthy - toilets didn’t flush well. linen was ripped and stained.

Quite peaceful getaway close to the beach

beautiful Cosy holiday home, the beach is about 10 min walk away. the apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a bbq in the garage. Perfect also for cold/windy days the bedrooms and beds were very comfortable

a few tiles in the bathroom were a little loose, could be fixed but others than that, all was very good

Very comfortable

The location was excellent and clean, Very comfortable.

I think we should have been provided with rechargeable lamps/ lights for loadshedding. There was candles provided but these are not safe especially with kids.

Dirty Apartment

The location of the apartment was great, close to a beautiful beach. The beds were comfortable. The washing machine & tumble drier were handy, as we have children

The apartment was not very clean. The floors were extremely sandy and the upstairs floors were also sticky. The shower drain was completely blocked, we could not use the shower. We had to make use of the bath. I asked the host to send the cleaning company, but I was told that they will only come to clean again on the day of check out. I had to sweep all the floors with a broken handheld broom and dustpan on my hands and knees, as that is all that was available. We came back from town one day, and maintenance was being done on the apartments roof. The host sent me a voucher for one night's stay, however I couldn't book the extra night as he had new guests coming in. A week later I hadn't heard anything from the host with regards to the refundable breakage deposit, so I had to enquire, and only then did I get the deposit back. If I had to make use of the one night voucher, I would have to book with the host again, which I wouldn't really want to do.

Our home away from home

The quietness, the facilities and the new improvements to the unit, lovely surprise... yhe bathroom down stairs looks lovely. The enclosed braai room, makes an extra room now and it's so nice that there is a new entrance door and new tiling.

The shower is not draining in the bathroom down stairs, i think its blocked from the building alterations. No curtains in the bedrooms only blinds, so with the outside lighting it is very light at night and light early in the morning. No instructions on how to operate the TV /Dstv / Netflix on the new smart TV - very confusing, so we ended up not watching it. The unit does get cold at night, but the electric heater has a electrical fault. We love coming to this unit, so the negative comments are purely small things we feel would make a big difference to other guests too.

Family outing

We had a awesome stay it was really value for money. What I liked the most was the remote garage door and the setup of the garage and braai area.

We had a great time except for the stair case that was abit step for my sister.Andwasher had no cleaning detergents.

An awesome stay - The Dunes 6

Always memorable when we stay at the Dunes. Love the location, the people. Beach is prestine and the pool is great on a hot day. NOLo 6 has everything, DSTV and the wi-fi worked. Well equipped, hence why we live staying there.

Everything was perfect, except the floor on arrival had not been swept and was really dirty, but found the boom and then all was good.

The unit was neat and decorated very tastefully. It was quiet and safe and the farmstalls was handy

The bathtub's plug pops out all the time. Two tiles, one in t.v. room and one in upper bathroom is broken and loose.

Duplex Number 6 - Thumbs Up 👍

The attention to detail, everything worked, plenty of utensils, DSTV and WiFi worked without any hiccups. Very relaxing stay, amazing blue flag beach. All in all a great stay and a great unit.
