About this cabin rental
Situated in McCall, this lovely cabin for $300 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Beautiful Cabin in Spring Mountain Ranch. Sits on approximately 1/2 wooded acre, complete with a fire pit. Walk to golf, shopping, restaurants, private neighborhood pool, tennis and a workout facility. Perfect for getting together with family. The spacious kitchen is equipped with all stainless steel appliances, gas range, and granite throughout. Huge table seats 8-10, plus the island seats an additional 3. This Cabin exudes warmth and coziness, with its warm interior colors, beautiful decor, and 2-story rock fireplace. The main level master has a king-sized bed, tiled walk-in shower, walk-in closet, and a covered, walk-out deck. Upstairs, the large, second master suite has a queen bed, full bath, walk-in closet. Bedroom #3 has queen bed, and bedroom #4 has 2 sets of bunk beds, one of which is a twin over full. The second floor also has a huge bonus room, with large sectional that folds out into a sofa bed. Bonus room also has 50' plasma TV with surround sound. Complete 3 car garage, with additional parking on side of house. Keywords: Cabin

This home boasts a picturesque location and ample space, ideal for group gatherings. We particularly enjoyed the bonus room upstairs for game nights.
However, our experience was marred by property maintenance issues and problematic communication with the owner. Signs of water damage are evident on the ceilings and walls. Some outdoor benches and patio chairs are deteriorating, limiting seating options. The hot tub's overchlorination was a concern, and its water was unclean. We found dirty laundry and towels left inside. Alarmingly, a bunk bed collapsed during our stay. The owner's response lacked understanding and felt accusatory.
Engaging with the owner presented challenges. He insisted on a separate rental agreement from VRBO, causing confusion and potential check-in delays. He was on the property longer than expected upon our arrival, and we were not provided keys for security. His interactions felt distrustful, aligning with previous reviews we'd read. It's evident he resides in the house between rentals, and personal items remain. There is still an expectation that guests clean linens despite a cleaning fee on the rental. There is also a damage deposit that I suspect won't be returned due to the state of the house itself.
For small groups planning a brief stay in McCall, this location may suffice. However, for larger groups seeking a relaxing retreat, the property issues and the owner's demeanor might detract from the experience.

Highly recommend. The house is beautiful, stocked with everything and anything you could imagine needing, very clean, it’s close to the lake and shopping. Beautiful scenery, quiet location. Communication was a 10 out of 10. We hope to definitely come back one day. Rent this house if you can!!

We truly enjoyed the place. Very spacious. Lots of sleeping choices. It was close to golf, town, and a walking path. Liked it SO much we booked for next year. The only issue we had was finding it. It’s difficult to see the number on the house because it’s behind trees.

Great house for our family during a big wedding event. House was very well equipped, very nice and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice home. Two master suites - one on the main level and one upstairs was an added bonus. There are two other bedrooms upstairs besides the master. One with a queen bed and the other has multiple beds in it. There is also a bonus room upstairs with couches. The home was very clean and had many amenities. Wifi is spotty. We could not get any stations on the T.V., but that may have been our fault.

Everything was in order, and clean. The layout of the house was perfect for our 6 person reunion. It’s quiet and situated nicely even though it’s more of a city neighborhood. We would stay again!
The only downside is the requirement to launder towels and get them dried. That in and of it’s self isn’t a big deal but getting everyone showered packed and the towels in the washer by 9:00, with a larger group can be challenging.

This contact occurred through my personal email outside VRBO. He then withheld the door code until we sent him a copy of our drivers license, signed the additional contract, gave him personal addresses and contact information and called him directly. On calling we were informed that we would not have access to the fireplace. On arrival the home was not clean, the garbage cans were full, there were balloons, and toilet paper rolls on the ground. Following our stay the owner continued texting us. When I reported this to VRBO he proceeded to attempt to send us additional charges of greater than $150 because the towels in the dryer were not dry enough.

I have stayed at this location twice over the years and our extended family has really enjoyed it. It has everything that young children love. Pool access, AC, close to town and the lake. Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Very clean and accommodating! Space for everyone! Would highly recommend this location! We have family properties in McCall where we usually stay but with many out of town family attending our nephews wedding we tried to find a place for our out of state children to be together! It was perfect!!! Thank you so much!!! Very gracious for a family to share their beautiful home with strangers!!!

Drake Lodge is beautifully situated in a wooded lot that is conveniently close to town and yet still feels private. The home has wonderful amenities, including a private hot tub protected by a roof, which came in handy in the rainy weather. The open floor plan on the main floor was perfect for gathering for eating, games, TV, and kids' play. We enjoyed the second TV/play/movie room upstairs where other family members could get away from the main floor, watch shows and still have room for little kids to play toys up there too. The kitchen was well-stocked, won't need to bring my own crockpot next time.
