Breezy and quiet place with very friendly staff and comfy beds.
Breezy and quiet place with very friendly staff. They helped me get a scooter and also to extend my stay last minute. The dorm was good with several fans and you got your own locker. You have to have you own lock. Comfy bed, no curtains which was ok. Big shower and toilet outside with a small communal area. There will be roosters, dogs and other animals making noice early in the morning. The cafe was really good too. Close to Paliton beach and easy to get around the island and San Juan from the hostel with your own scooter. Free distilled water and free wifi.
I would have liked some more vegan options on the menu.

Superb
I liked the 4 beds dorm, I was alone, arriving in the storm and an employee helped me checking in. It's completely bug-free and spider-free. The restaurant is famous here for its quality, delicious food! The staff and the boss Jerry are super kind and helpful, even got me transportation at the right price later on.
No fault here. There was a boat accident because of the storm so the nearby beach was closed, therefore the location at the time was underwhelming. Everything else was perfect.

Authentic Stay - Amazing Food
The properties are authentic and unique. The rooms are beautiful wooden huts. The room we stayed in had a lovely seating area outside with a washing line and a decent fan inside. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing. Staff are happy to help and offered to arrange motorbike hire for us.
Whilst the huts are lovely, because they are wooden they are very open to the elements. In the dorm people had found spiders and geckos as the sides of the building you can literally see the ground out of. The first private we were put in had no lock on the door, when we asked the staff about this they assured us it was safe. We explained we weren’t comfortable not having a room that locked and they moved us to another private. No mosquito nets are provided. The area is very noisy with dogs, roosters and other animals.

too expensive
The Bungalow was cutie and rustic
We didn’t have water multiple times (shower, sink, toilet) I took a shower on the shared facilities which wasnt the end of the world (5 min walk through the bushes) but I paid for a private place. The shower wasnt strong enough AND JUST COLD WATER. Also the shack seemed to been built over an ants nest or sort of it because the bathroom was full of them.

Great Location and Food, but Room for Improvement in Accommodations and Service
Starting with the positives, the location was amazing as it was right on the beach, which made it very convenient to enjoy the beautiful views and take part in water activities. The food was also exceptional - I particularly enjoyed the local cuisine they served. Additionally, the fact that there was a scooter rental service available on-site was very convenient and added value to my stay.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks to my experience. Firstly, the accommodation itself was quite basic and didn't provide much in terms of amenities or comfort. Secondly, the staff didn't seem particularly interested in providing a welcoming atmosphere or being attentive to guests' needs. They were often absent, which made it difficult to get assistance or ask questions

Good
The bathrooms are super clean and beautiful. The Cafe has really good food would highly recommend.
The rooms could use a make over and a cleaning (mostly the floor). My bed blanket (which is only a sheet) did not smell good so I changed it with another fresh one. That grossed me a bit.
