Very kind hosts, super comfortable rooms to make you feel home

Very nice hosts and a super comfortable room, very large with wide windows looking over the pool. It was nice to have a kitchen for use. The owner also prepares coffee early in the morning for the guests. You can borrow beach chairs which I definitely recommend because they are very comfy and convenient at the beach.

The location is a little inconvenient because there is a green field in front of the property and then a major road. After you cross the road and walk down a little bit you arrive at the beach. The green field gets filled with water when it rains and it becomes impossible to walk through the field to the main road so you need to take a convoluted route that makes it longer. Overall I think it would take 15min to arrive at the beach. Of course, in return you pay a fraction of the price you would have to pay at a hotel on the beach and with a much smaller room. The hosts were very kind and they offered to drive us to the supermarket and to a nice beach nearby where you can snorkel and even sea the turtles if you are lucky.

Beautiful island, warm friendly people, safe, English spoken everywhere, interesting culture.

The Karibu is a small (4 unit) boutique hotel 10-15 minute walk to the high-rise resorts and the public beaches. It is a regular gem of a place, with a central courtyard and other public spaces that encourage mingling with other guests. But the best thing about the Karibu was our hosts, a Dutch couple who did everything imaginable to make our stay comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. On our anniversary, they even left a bottle of chilled champagne in the room for us to discover on our return from a marvelous dinner at the lighthouse restaurant (which they booked for us). The two downsides: The room was inconvenient, and the beach and Marriott resorts were farther away than I realized when I booked the Karibu. But the Karibu experience overall was great, and our hosts were hands down the best I've ever encountered in my long life.

Let's talk about the room itself. The bed was fine, perfectly comfortable and clean, and the daily housekeeping service was excellent. But the room layout seemed designed for people half a foot taller than my wife and I, and everything -- furniture, sinks, eating spaces, bathroom counter, etc. -- was a bit inconvenient. Also, thinking we were just across street from the beach, we did not rent a car. Big mistake. Our hosts started calling to get us one but things were tight and no cars were available until the last 4 days of our stay. Lack of wheels put a definite crimp in our activities, although taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced, and a bus runs in front of the high-rise hotels.

We’ll be back!

It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. You get all the advantages of a kitchen and lovely outdoor space with daily maid service. The owners are available if needed and super helpful.

Beautiful property that is very clean, quiet, and in a good location. Lovely pool- very relaxing! Terrific stay with extremely hospitable hosts. We would definitely stay here again. The Perfect Boutique Inn for Aruba

Karibu Aruba exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived (early) we were treated like long lost family. Andrus and Beja are exceptional hosts and offered a unique warmth and kindness to our stay. Andrus immediately took hold of our luggage and carried it upstairs to our gorgeous room looking over a bird sanctuary just in front of the large hotels with casinos and a wide variety of restaurants. He gave great advice including showing us the path that would take us across to the beach in five minutes. The beach is simply gorgeous with gentle pristine waves made for all kinds of water activities. The property has a perfectly stocked kitchen that is shared by the guests. We used it to make breakfast each day and to store our drinks and snacks. The pool and lounging areas are fantastic, and we had cocktails by the pool each night as the birds returned to roost. Our room each day was decorated with special towel arrangements and flowers provided by Isabel. As we left the property, we asked for a taxi to be called, and Andrus imply loaded our luggage and drove us to our next stop. This is one of the finest Boutique hotels that we have ever found. We are already planning for our return.

Home away from home

The property is very well maintained and is impeccably clean. The hosts were beyond accommodating, drove us to get a few groceries at a nearby supermarket, offered a ton of great advice and made sure we were taken care of. Our clothes were laundered and they even helped with printing some documents. The hotel is small and very quiet. The courtyard is gorgeous and a great place to relax. The rooibos tea in the mornings was sublime. Our toddler loved splashing in the pool and playing with the cats on the property.

Traveling with a toddler is always challenging and not having a working microwave was a little inconvenient. However, we managed pretty well using the range.

Our stay was too short!

This Boutique Hotel is exactly as described. It is within easy walking distance to Palm beach and owners provide beach chairs and towels and are happy to loan you a cooler bag with ice bricks. Although our unit had a kitchenette - having access to a communal kitchen with an oven was a bonus. I would recommend a car as although Palm beach is close (and there is a lot of activity, restaurants etc) Eagle Beach was a firm favorite with our crew. It felt less crowded and the beach had fine sand perfect for building sandcastles. Don't miss a sunset snorkeling cruise on the Black Pearl (Blue Melody) or a trip with ABC tours to the natural pool and Indian caves.

Exceptional

The property was spotlessly clean and was very light and airy. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our room had a coffee maker and small fridge and freezer. There is also a full kitchen on the premises that the owner said we have the option to use. The small pool was very nice and they supplied mats to float on. They also had tables and chairs and lounge chairs poolside. There is also a open air foyer you can use to relax with outside sofas. The owners are extremely nice, considerate and helpful. The property is directly across the street from the hotel strip with Marriott Stelaris and Ritz Carlton being directly across. We opted to go to the beach at the Marriott. since the beach is public you are able to utlilize. The wait staff did not seem to mind that we were from another hotel and we were able to have cocktails and lunch right on the beach. There is also a Starbucks and açaí bowl and gelato stand inside the Marriot. There are numerous hotels with great restaurants right in walking distance. I would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return!

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Andras and Beja are a great hosts, they did a lot to make my vacation even better. From time to time we had fun together like barbecue, windsurfing or just chatting. When I was searching for hotel on Aruba I had doubts about this place, the reviews are superb, but pictures aren't that good. All in all, I decided to give it a try and reality overweight my expectations. Thank you for the great time.

A trip to a lovely country made magnificent by the hotel and its owners!

An amazing place!. Beautiful, quiet and the most wonderful owners we could imagine. They were so helpful to us, providing rides, suggestions, and conversation. This was our second stay there. We are planning our third.

Wonderful and relaxing.

The Karibu Aruba was much nicer and prettier than it appeared on the website. It was exceptionally clean, well equipped and the owners did everything to make our stay a happy one. Because the hotel is small, it felt more like a private villa as most days we had the pool to ourselves.

Palm beach is full of large hotels which dominate the beach areas.

Great location in the heart of Palm Beach

Andras and Beja did a fantastic job throughout my stay. They both were wonderful and very helpful hosts, always smiling and willing to help every guest. Wonderful location, short walk to the Palm beach. Supermarket is nearby for groceries. Very quiet and peaceful boutique hotel. The bus stop is across the street, very convenient to go downtown with the local buses. Great complimentary coffee every morning! Thank you Mr Andras! Very safe and clean. Spacious room. Wi-fi was great. Great value. Choose Karibu for relaxing and rejuvenating vacation!
