Met Our Needs!

Location was very convenient for our needs, including an easy walk to grocery store and restaurants. The facilities (especially the pool!) were extremely clean and inviting and the grounds meticulously maintained. We met and interacted with the owners and found them to be very lovely people. There is no restaurant on site (it is closed) but there is a well stocked community kitchen. No hot water in showers but yes to AC and fan which kept the room very comfortable. Construction noise on site but it comes with the territory. Overall, it was exactly what we needed for our 7 day stay.

No hot water, no restaurant on site as advertised (breakfast not included), room noise (no sound proofing with neighbors).

Good

Clean and spacious room. Enough tables around the property to relax and chill out.

I am not used to share kitchens, so, to me was a bit difficult that situation. The administrator went on her day off. The lady who replaced her, treat me as if I was going to run away without paying the balance just because I had to leave one day early for a meeting. I came from the meeting and pay all and she still was doing a gun face.

Clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms with a/c, easy to find, pizza and store in walking distance

Very friendly and accommodating staff. There is a great pizza place and a little super in walking distance. Safe parking. Great outdoor space with shared outdoor kitchen, that has anything you need to make a meal, or a drink. Owners were friendly and fun to talk to. They welcomed our dog with open arms. There was a ping pong table and other games. The room was very clean. After a long day of driving we were pleased it was very easy to find, and right off the highway. We arrived late and left early in the morning, so we weren't able to use the pool or see the nearby beach, but the pool looked inviting.

The room was smaller than I thought it would be. There was some confusion with the booking process and the dog, they did not know that we were bringing a dog, but I thought I checked the Pet box when booking, but it did go through that way. I blame this on the website, more than the staff. It wasn't a big deal in the end, and they were very accommodating. The restaurant on the property was not open, but I know Maria would whip us up something if we asked.

Exceptional

Everything was very clean and the room was comfy, the place is pretty quiet, the pool is nice and the garden is beautiful. The staff is amazing.

Shelves in the room would make it easier to organize our belongings.

Nothing to do with the hotel but it’s quite a long walk to the beach and National Park. Not a problem if you have a car.

A great stay with a comfortable room, helpful staff and pleasant swimming pool

I had a very comfortable room that was spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the swimming pool and garden. The hotel was well-located for the national park and bus, with a nice walk to the beach or waterfalls.

Good turned bad or worse

At first we liked the gardens, the large room & smiling staff but by the second day it had all changed.

The walk to the town seemed longer than advertised, there was no hot water, we found 8 cock roaches one even ran over my foot, on the day we arrived there was a drowned dragon fly in the sink and the cleanliness around the cooker was grim. The gardener was cutting the grass but the petrol fumes forced me to ask him to stop gardening as we couldn't swim but he refused. Worse still the hotel said it was only for 2 hours and it was the only time he could do it, when I said customers came first to use the pool in peace I was told no the work had to be done. Finally the restaurant was closed which we should have been told when booking.

Great family hotel.

SO MUCH better than the photos! We absolutely loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool. Icy cold aircon and clean bathroom. Great to have a large kitchen. Loved having our own coffee machine and fridge.

We would have preferred the coffee to be topped up every day rather than repeatedly asking! Nothing in the kitchen so had to ask for pots/ pans/ plates/ cutlery. Expensive but we booked last minute and it was New Year’s Eve.

I guess it could have been worse

The lady checking us in was nice.

There were cockroaches, dead and alive, in the room when we arrived. There was also a loud party at the pool until at least 2 in the morning. Thankfully we were able to fall asleep after that.

We had a nice stay

The Hotel is close to the highway, has a nice pool and a lot of space to relax. Everyone was friendly and we had a good time. The wifi worked mostly fine and our room was clean. It is great that there are fridges and coffee machines since most restaurants are further away (we did not have a car). The kitchen has everything to cook a smaller meal or cut a fruit. From our window we were able to see beautiful aras and were allowed to stay at the pool after checkout since we had to wait for our pick up.

The garden and swimming pool are great. Uvita beach is a short drive away.

Uvita beach entrance is not free. The room was small.

Nice place

Rooms are nice, we had ants and cockroaches in the bathroom so I think it can be cleaner but for the price we paid everything was good

Beware of final rate

Hammocks all around

I ended up being charged waaay more than adverted. The facilities are deteriorated with no signs of manteinance

For vacationing Ticos this is a decent place to stay for the price. Breakfast should be included.

The facility is pretty good overall. The upstair back rooms are very cute, although small. I appreciated the air conditioning and hot water. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

This is the busiest time of year in Costa Rica (Semana Santa). There was a birthday party for one of the kids of the staff that lasted most of the day and was noisy enough to where I needed to leave. Also there was a DJ I didn't know was coming and locals hanging by pool at night drinking beers.
