Very relaxing bungalow on a beautiful white sandy beach

Small cosy and colourful bungalow on a beautiful beach. Very good restaurant with very reasonable prices and a choice of healthy meals. The hotel staff is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this beach bungalow with an amazing value for money. Everything's easy and relax !

No one came to help us with our bags at the boat pier as it was agreed before arrival which a bit of a hustle considering i was traveling with my family, even though the hotel is located at a few hundred meters only from the pier, it was a bit of a struggle.

Paradise!!!

Paradise!!!! This place is unique, you have your own cottage with a stunning view The staff is super great and have a chillax vibe The breakfast is delicious.

I think the restaurant it’s a bit expensive compared to the restaurants around the island. Its great that you have your own hammock, but a place with communal hammocks will be nice.

Beautiful bungalow in pristine location

Great location on the beach. Exactly like the pictures and very peaceful. The staff were so friendly and kind with great recommendations on activities.

Make sure you understand that this is a rustic location with no AC and the occasional mosquito/ geckos around. That did not bother me and I knew that going in. Just make sure you are prepared for that type of accommodation.

Peace, hammocklife, great food and lovely people!

Emma and her staff are just that rare 1 in a million. Lovely place, unique, spaciouse and cute bungalows , get out of bed and go directly out in the sea. We loved it! Really the true island feeling. We are so happy we stayed here for a week. So peaceful and so relaxing. The bungalows are simple, quite open for little friends to come visit, but that is also part of the true island and jungle feel! If you like shiny hotels, book shiny hotels. If you like the peace, close to nature, sand on your feet, chill in a hammock groove, book bamboo jam! If you’re vegan, you’ll go mad with the food! If you’re not vegan you will understand why vegans love vegan food! And of course you’ll be give the choice of eating both meet, eggs and milk products as well!

The occasional spider😂 But that is just because you are in the jungle, and they where there before you arrived. It was not a problem at all!

A very chilled out and wholesome week in the sun ☺️💛

Had the most amazing week here. This accommodation is composed of cute beach huts, ideal for a quiet chilled out stay, with a sea view and comfy outdoor seats and a hammock out front. You are provided with robes too which is a lovely touch. The cafe offers the tastiest veggie food. Breakfast is included and can be eaten at any time of the day. It also comes with tea, coffee and a plate of fresh fruit. The accommodation has a small jungle gym and a platform for yoga which was such a nice touch. Ema the manager was absolutely amazing to us during our stay. She arranged a gorgeous dinner on the beach for our arrival. She responded instant to any questions we had and gave us great recommendations on the island. She also taught one of the yoga classes for sunrise, it was stunning. She has a great team of workers with her. Vicky and jovi work served us breakfast and and lunch and they were so kind. Pak served us dinner and brought us on a boat trip around the islands and to a local fishing village which was one of our highlights of the week. This was one of my favourite islands in south east Asia. I couldn’t recommend it enough ☺️

No air-con, but there is a fan in the room. This is the standard on the island. Wifi isn’t great but take it as a good thing and switch off from the internet for the ultimate chill.

Super stay on Koh Rong Sanloem

Super nice and cute bungalows, with your private beach, hammock and table in the sand, just 5 steps away. All the staff welcomed me with a smile. And I enjoyed it to talk to them during my (Single-)Lunch, bruch whatever!!! The Rooms get cleaned every day, and they do it great. Ema, the owner, is very considered to keep everything clean, especially food, water and ice. So at their restaurant you can be sure that you only will get good stuff. (You can't say that from the other restaurants at the beach, some of them are very dirty and the ice for the drinks, I think, is normally for the refrigerator, but not for drinking) So, all in all it was the perfect choice(not only because 3 min walk away from piere) I would sure come back to this place and Ema. I think 4 Stars is the best rating I can give to the bungalows (service 5, and location 5,) Because I want to keep star Nr. 5 for the 4+5 star hotels to be fair! You will not disappointed to visit Bamboo Jam, that's for sure Greeting Tom

Island paradise.

Ema and her team are fantastic. Ideal location for a quiet island getaway. The food is top quality (I ate here most days). Location of the hut is right on the beach so give you that perfect walk out of your bedroom and straight onto the beach feel. No air con, but the fan does its job well at night.

There is a hostel next door which can play music late-ish on weekends. This didn't bother me, but worth bearing in mind for some.

Best place in Cambodia

To be honest, this is the best place on the island. and probably the nicest place we’ve been in Cambodia. Ema and her staff are really dedicated to their project. You will find good food (OMG, the breakfast !) and good facilities. Congratulations for the project !

What didn't I like? Staff - amazing Location - the best View - breathtaking (the sand and the water just wow) Bungalow was the cutest and such a cool temp, I literally saw sunrise from by bed everyday! The comfiest bed with the softest pillows! Bug shout out the to bamboo jam team you're amazing

One of the best places you can get on Koh Rong Samloem

Best location on the island. You get your own little beach in front of the bungalow just for you - perfect to relax. The Bamboo Jam restaurant is one of the best on the whole island. Bungalow is quite small, but that is fine as you will spend the whole day outside.

The walls of the bungalows are really thin so you can hear your neighbour talking (and everything else) in bed. Talking about beds they are a bit too small.

beautiful bungalow right on the beach, loved the touches like nice shampoo/shower gel and dressing gowns. really nice breakfast

it’s outside of the properties control..there is construction/development happening along a lot of the beach strip. I was worried before coming but it didn’t disturb us at all while staying here and not visible from the bungalow

The location was very good, the whole area was clean and nice. The bungalows are beautiful and nicely decorated. Good place for reading in the hammock. Very tasty breakfast. It was a beautiful experience to stay right on the beach.

No hot water, but it wasn't very cold. Even though it's nice to stay in such a bungalow, at times it was a bit too noisy as the walls are super thin, you could hear music from the bar (not every night, only when there's a party) and neighbours talking outside.

Ema the manager and Vicky were very helpful before, during and after my stay. Good location right on the beach. Great restaurant with excellent vegan options. 30 minutes walk from Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach if you want / need to escape the wind on Saracen Bay at this time of year.

The walls are paper thin so I heard everything happening in the hut next door so didn't sleep well. I booked specifically for the yoga but unfortunately it didn't happen during my stay (and anyway is London prices.)

we’ve been travelling as a family for over 20 years and we’ve never planned to return again before we’ve left anywhere!

We put our rucksacks down and it felt like home! The best place to relax and read.

The food was too good, hammocks too comfortable and they make you leave just because your booking is up!

Location, restaurant

Price/value: bamboo huts quite basic for the price, standing close to eachother (noise) with separate bathroom outside... on rainy days you get wet going to the bathroom. Bathroom not clean, shower drain clogged. Raving reviews are probably based on restaurant (which was very good and diverse indeed - compared with other places on the island- with excellent service) and stylish furniture/decorations.

We loved our stay at Bamboo Jam! The bungalows are super cute and a stones throw from the beautiful water (really no need for a swimming pool on this island). Ema & Vicky were super friendly and made our stay extra special. The food was fantastic, the ladies in the kitchen do a consistently great job. I would absolutely stay there again.

Take a break from the world at Bamboo Jam!

We have just spent 6 nights at Bamboo Jam and it was a great experience. The bungalow is simple, very well located on the beach with armchairs and hammocks to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We also really enjoyed the very pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant where they serve good food. Special thanks to Emma and Vicky for their availability, kindness, good mood and professionalism!

Some people like this type of "natural" bathroom but we prefer a little more comfort and brightness.

Very disappointed

Breakfast used to be amazing/but now it’s terrible two fried eggs n toast jam we stayed there many times b4 but it’s gone to the dogs sorry to say

No bed change never had no milk bacon ice sugar I could go on and on

Beautiful bungallows right in front of the ocean!

Beautiful location and one of the few places on this beach that have ocean view from bungalow, and a fan in the room! The location was also perfect since it was walking distance from all the fun bars and restaurants, but away from the noise and crazyness. Love the little water fountain in front of the room and the broom, so you can clean your feet and make sure your room isnt sandy. Was barefoot for 1 week! Amazing breakfast!!!!

Take a lot of mosquito spray and if you can, an eletronic repelent- even though the beds have a net, the top part of the bungallows isnt covered and so quite a few mosquitos are around. The toilets are outdoors, and also have the top bit with a gap, so plenty of msoquitos and fun animals lurking around.

The location of the bungalows is price less, it is the best place I have ever stayed! All of the staff are amazing. You can borrow snorkling equipment and paddle boards and can even take a yoga class which is taught by Emma who is amazing. There are also lots of yummy vegan options too!

You have to walk outside to go to the bathroom and the bathroom was always full of mosquitos, but there is nothing that can be done about that.
