GELDGIERIG! NIE WIEDER

Gute Lage

Der Chef ist geldgieriger Person! Er ist nur froh, wenn er abkassieren kann! Kein guten Morgen/Tag, kein Lächeln. Er betrachtet dich wie ein Nichtsnutz/Luft! Wenn du etwas brauchst, wo er nichts verdienen kann, hilft dir ungern oder gar nicht. Die Mail von Abholung bei Pear kannst vergessen, noch dazu falscher Name des Pears. Bei Ankunft war die Toilette kaputt. Ganze 5 Tage ohne Handtuch zu wechseln! Restaurant dreckig, nach der Schicht lassen alles liegen. Man sieht die Raten dort um Essen zu suchen. ICH EMPFEHLE NICHT WEITER!!!

A fine place to stay, but not worth the high price

I had a bungalow with air con which was necessary as it was very hot on the island overnight! The room was basic but fine, the location was amazing, right on the most beautiful white sand beach, with plenty of seating overlooking/on the beach, and other places to sit/eat/drink nearby.

Very expensive for what it was, and not worth the money paid. No hot water in the shower, basic room. Would’ve been great for half the price. The restaurant was only ok - I recommend going along the beach to the Big Easy to eat, where the food is much nicer & better priced.

Not felt welcome at all. Definitely overpriced

The location was good and at night the place became a pleasant restaurant on the beach

The manager was rude. He didn’t send the pick up as requested and refused to do anything about 10 dollars I had to pay for a different pick up to bring me to the place with the luggage. When I had trouble with the lock of my door he was annoyed

Excellent location

Excellent location right in the middle of the bay where there is a line of hotels with tables in the sand on the beach in the evening. The beach in this area is also kept nice and tidy, while elsewhere there are a lot of abandoned places after covid, and rubbish laying around. Very large and clean room and bathroom with a nice sitting area outside with a table and chairs. Tips: 1) If you intend to walk to or from the pier, try to arrive and leave during low tide! 2) do NOT miss out on seeing the stone carvings near Lazy beach.

The location on maps.me is wrong. It's further down the beach behind the restaurant of the same name. Shortly after booking, I got a message telling me to take a boat which is NOT running at all. to Orchard pier, which is in ruins, and looks like it has been for a long time. They said they would pick me up, but NOT if it was complimentary or not, or how much it costs. Prices not agreed on up front could come with an exorbitant price tag! Also they didn't tell me what they would pick me up with, Not all sorts of transport is ok for me. Information needs updating here. The room was perfectly fine for me, but seems overpriced as it had a bed, but nothing else, and only a cold water shower. WiFi was working everywhere, but at times it was painfully slow.

Merita una visita veloce.

Splendida posizione, sulla spiaggia.. Come tutta Samloen è tutto molto caro, dal cibo alle camere. sicuramente molto più di quanto meriti. Mare e spiagge molto belle.

I prezzi sono eccessivi.

Enjoyed our stay

Mr Johnny was super friendly and so were the rest of his family and staff. They were helpful with any questions and requests we had. The rooms are simple, exactly how they look in pictures and are described. It was a 20 min walk from the pier and similar time to lazy beach. The food at their restaurant was tasty and good prices for the island (I loved the curries).

The beach on Saracen bay had lots of garbage so we didn’t swim there - walked to lazy beach and sunset beach instead.

Ne voyez pas que l'économie, ajouter quelques euros/dollars et ALLEZ AILLEURS !

Économique, mais vous comprendrez pourquoi.... On vous récupère/dépose à l'embarcadère. La nourriture "locale" du restaurant est bonne et abordable. Nous y avons mangé tous les soirs.

La liste serait tellement longue... Salariés tout le temps sur les téléphones, avec le son fort, alors qu'il y a tellement à faire. On ne sait pas vraiment qui travaille là où pas. Des gens en pyjama... Draps sales et ménage très décevant: - peigne, carte, briquet, poussière dans la tête de lit - Dessous du lit sale - sol de salle de bain sale - toilettes dégueulasses Lavabo qui fuit, chasse d'eau à moitié fonctionnelle, support douche cassée. Pas de moustiquaires. Pas d'eau chaude. Insectes dans la chambre et rat qui nous rend visite en pleine nuit... Partie commune avec des jouets, de l'huile de moteur, des outils, des choses qui trainent, les poules qui vont dans la cuisine.... bref, un beau bordel. Des cannettes et déchets dans les extérieurs (qui n'auront été retirés qu'après plusieurs jours quand nous auront fait la remarque, et encore, en partie....) J'ai repris tous les avis Booking depuis un an, et forcé de constater que malgré les commentaires/signalements rien n'ai fait. Nous avons discuter avec le gérant, qui vient de reprendre le management à son frère, qu'il accuse d'avoir délaissé l'affaire. Selon lui tous les problème seront réglés d'ici mi-octobre pour la nouvelle saison. On a eu un long et beau discourt.... Au final, il boit des bières et regarde son téléphone comme les autres. On nous a sortie l'excuse "mais c'est pas cher" : cela n'excuse pas la saleté et le comportement !!! Sur le continent on trouve des chambres à 10$ dont on ne fait zéro reproche !! Enfin, l'auberge à coté nous fait écouter ces basses jusqu'à tard dans la nuit (au moins 1h00) et remets ça dès le matin à 08h00. Signaler au gérant pour qu'il en parle à son voisin, sans suspens...: rien n'a changé pour nos 3 nuits suivantes. Pour nos jours de repos rêvés, on repassera.

Recommend for budget travellers that don’t mind a bit of dirt

Right on the beach, excellent location and a lovely restaurant at the front. The owners of the bungalows were happy to let us chill in the restaurant without ordering food as it’s all part of the complex. Staff very friendly. Good value for money

The room was quite dirty. The bathroom was in a bad shape as the sink was basically hanging off the wall and it was quite small and a wet room so everything was constantly soaked.

Sweet time bungalows

location is great and cheap accommodation. for a little extra you get a nice working airconditioning

room was not clean, staff was nog really caring about us. The tap water was not working when we arrived so we could not take a shower. when I asked them to fix it, I had to keep asking to fix it before they actually did something. also the bed was full of sand when we arrived. for a night it was fine, but it are small fixes to make the accommodation much more comfortable

amazing location, good cocktails and food was good value for money, staff helped us book transport

The food is good and also the evening BBQ. Air-conditioning is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a quiet place.

Internet stops often. Could be more clean. Need better maintenance. There is no power socket next to the bed. No mirror in the bathroom. There is no hot water in the bathroom.

Bungalows in a great location

They picked me up from pier which was very helpful. Good wifi, it was intermittent in the room but that's not unusual for location and island. Restaurant serves really nice food.

No mosquito net provided which appears in photos. It was ok in the end but if you're scared of little animals (this is an island with a jungle so that's normal), you may not be able to sleep that much. No clothes rack as advertised but that didn't bother me. Cleanliness can be improved all around the hotel.

Very expensive for the quality !

The a la carte breakfast included many choices and the food is good. We had some problems with the bungalow but the manager was very helpful and he did his best than he could. It's a little bit far from the ferry but he offers free pick up and drop off !

The bungalow is spacious but only features a bed and fan (no other furniture at all!). No hot water. Also you share it with cockroaches and mice running close to the bed. After the first night, we asked to change room but we still heard insects and mice. Also it's very noisy, you can hear your neighbor as if he's with you... In the common area in front of the beach, everything is in such a messy and dirty state, it's really a shame. For example, there is a pool table but it is covered with waste, kids toys, dirty linen and we even saw a member of the staff taking a nap on it during the day. It could be a really nice place but the owner just doesn't take care of it... So for me the good price for the quality of stay is 10$, not more !!

Glad we only stayed one night

- Good Location on the main beach, not far to walk to Pier - air con worked

- Not good value for money, very basic just a bed and small shower room (not inline with other budget accommodations) - Broken tap sprayed water everywhere - light on all night outside so very bright - pool table covered in things that made it look dirty and unwelcoming - No mosquitoes net and door opens to the outside Has potential to be nicer but needs some TLC

Awful beach, dirty and loud.

The location.

Dirty rooms, sink falling off the wall. no mosquito net and with the amount of mosquitos around was needed. No towels provided. Spider webs everywhere. The entire island actually is extremely dirty and has taken a huge hit since covid when I travelled there before. It used to be pristine but is covered in plastics and with unfinished building everywhere. Something needs to be done with this island as it’s actually becoming somewhere I feel less and less people will want to visit.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Great location on the main beach and very fairly priced, especially considering we booked last minute. Would stay again.

Room didn't have Aircon but this is advertised and reflected in price. Toilet was a bit grungy but nothing too bad.
