Peaceful Relaxation in a Quiet Neighborhood in the Heart of Long Island
About this house rental
Nestled in Fire Island, this attractive house for $145 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Total relaxation in your own private suite including bedroom, living room and bath. Refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee and tea station plus outdoor cooking on grill with side burner. Note: there is no access to the main kitchen during Covid 19. A charming bedroom with very comfortable queen size bed plus optional pull out sofa bed, fresh linens and towels, a living room with a 55" 4K TV with Netflix, Prime and Roku, a remote controlled gas fireplace, a private bathroom with a sit down shower, all outdoor areas including a large deck, a hot tub, a fire pit patio, a tree covered hammock, and use of canoes and kayaks. Private entrance to living room, bedroom and private bath with sit down shower. Note: this is not a whole house... share the house with your very gracious host. There are four closed doors between the bedrooms so it is very private. Accommodations are ideal for a couple, but there is a pull out sofa to add one more adult (two if they are very close) or two kids. We limit the amount of people to two unless it is the same family with a maximum of 4. We allow use of the gas BBQ (we provide the gas), which has a side burner for frying and boiling water as well. There are 3 outdoor tables and you may eat in the living room. We provide plates, pots, pans, utensils and napkins. A small refrigerator is available for your storage needs as well as a microwave and toaster oven for heating. A coffee and tea bar is included. There are numerous places for takeout, curbside pickup or delivery and supermarkets are open. Please support our local businesses! We request no smoking inside or on the deck, (flagstone patio or driveway is OK), no parties, no unpaid guests, no pets. Please keep the noise to a minimum. Do not hang out in the front of the house (respect our neighbors…..stay in the back yard or by the creek. We love to meet people from all over the world! We enjoy conversation and getting to know you but also respect your privacy so if you want quiet time in your private suite or out on the hammock, you will have no interruption. Your hosts will be available on most days for any questions or advise or recommendations for things to do. Shores Retreat is in a very quiet neighborhood on a dead end street with almost no traffic. It is adjacent to a woods with access to a creek for kayaking and canoeing. You and your party are exclusive guests. No other rooms are rented at the same time. Shores Retreat is only a 7 minute drive from downtown Patchogue which has been transformed into one of the most desirable artist communities on Long Island. The Patchogue theatre features legendary performers while the numerous bars and restaurants will satisfy your nightlife cravings. Top restaurants include Hoshi for Japanese, El Fuego for Mexican, James Joyce for Irish food and Chachama for nouvelle cuisine. The ferry to Fire Island is minutes away. The quaint village of Bellport and the Gateway theater is minutes away to the east and the Hamptons and the wineries of the North Fork are just a half hour drive. The closest Long Island Railroad train station on the Montauk to NYC line is Patchogue, a 7 minute drive. Trip to NYC is 1 hour 30 minutes. We are 1 hour and 15 minute from JFK airport. There are lots of Ubers and Lyfts available at a moments notice and there is local bus transportation 1/4 mile away and your hosts will offer private transportation when available and convenient.

A wonderful outdoor sanctuary
Titus and Mary Elizabeth were excellent hosts, offering a backyard wonderland that delivered all I had hoped for -- even having just traveled from my home 20 minutes away. The room/living area were clean with anything a guest might need, but perhaps even more so was their backyard, which was a wonderful outdoor sanctuary comprised of various "rooms," from seating areas to games, kayaks/canoes and more, all surrounded by beautiful water, chirping birds and positive vibes. Would definitely recommend.

Our family enjoyed our stay. My daughter loved the pond with swans and the swings. First thing she wanted to do in the morning was feeding the swans and going for a swing! Thank you Titus for your warm hospitality.

Fantastic week!

The place was really nice and peaceful. We had everything we need. Owners were really nice people. We are really happy that we booked this place. Hoping to go back again for a vacation.

We had such a relaxing stay in the E. Patchogue B&B.
The location was perfect for us to go to the Beach and out to
dine on the water at night.
The patio and grounds are so unique and magical - lots of love and care went into making it just perfect. We will return!!

More than Expected!
Where do I begin? Our stay was so relaxing and enjoying. Titus and Mary Elizabeth were great hosts. Their property is like a wonderland! When you walk through the property you lose track that you are in Long Island, with all the small details, you see something more awesome each time you walk around. We are looking forward to our next stay, most likely in the Fall. Thank you Titus and Mary Elizabeth for sharing your property with us. We have been telling everyone about it and sharing photos.

Nice stay overall
The place was clean and cozy. The property manager was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we were not given the entry code right away and we did not have control of the temperature, although there is a nice gas fireplace we could use if needed. Overall it was a nice stay and we recommend it :)

Quiet getaway
This is a small but lovely place to stay. Titus was very accommodating and quick to reply. The backyard is like a getaway, itself, with the bistro out by the canal and the swings and kayaks available. A delicious breakfast was served and all we needed was right there for us.

A beautiful place to stay on Long Island
We've stayed on Long Island many times through the years, having grown up there. No spot was as comfortable, inviting, and special as this one. Titus and Mary Elizabeth are the perfedt hosts. From the comfort and beauty of the home's decor, to the spectacular grounds, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you for making us so much at home. We'll definitely return!

Serenity
Owners and property were a gem. Grounds are beautiful and extensive with quiet location and access to creek with peaceful and tasteful furnishings. Clean and serene. Large deck off the living room and magical paths at night. Quiet little dock with bistro table for morning coffee with the birds on the water in the morning! Ver peasant owners who are available but not intrusive. Wish I lived closer to stay more often!

A little slice of heaven
My children and I thoroughly enjoyed this property. Titus and Mary Elizabeth were gracious hosts. We loved spending time in the area by the water when we had downtime. Definitely will visit again on a return trip! Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality!

A little slice of Long Island Heaven
Titus and Mary Elizabeth were so natural, reallly welcoming us into their home. Somehow I hadn’t realised it was B&B but breakfasts were home cooked and tasty, particularly homemade blueberry pancakes. Thebed was super comfy. The bathroom was well stocked with fluffy towels and toiletries and our hosts gave us advice on restaurants and days out. Catch, Toast and Virgola were all great. We also had live music from an infantry big band as we are. Patchogue was charming and Amber and Steve went on early morning runs while I did yoga on the decking and meditated by the water. Rau slept in!
Before we left on Sunday we used the kayaks and canoes and

Relaxing & peaceful
Perfect way to end our NY stay in this lovely home. Absolutely charming and totally enjoyed relaxing here. The backyard was magical. The owners were so nice and perfect hosts. The only downside was we needed our GPS to find our way around the neighborhood and occasionally there was a distant train noise that we eventually became accustomed to. Overall one of the most enjoyable stays we've experienced. We would wholeheartedly stay there again.
