Pleasant

Because our original stay was not ready we were changed to another home. It didn’t have easy heating. There was a mouse there. It was ok.

Superb

Liked all, very clean and comfortable, very peaceful, Blue wrens daily, roo boy the kangaroo cheeky friendly kangaroo. Only issue I have is hand rail in shower and next to toilet. Bit of a disability it would have helped, but I got by with out.

Signs out by the driveway would have helped find it quicker. Signs that you can see and read.

Very good

Very clean. Had a homey feel. Has everything you need and comfy beds. Much lower cost than elsewhere on the island: larger space big kitchen with full sized stove etc. could use a bigger couch and some armchairs. Would Stay again

could use a lamp in the bedrooms - spare did not have globes in it Did not have any soaps or shampoos etc - just need to let guests know that in advance as we didn’t bring any Could also do with a little bit of milk in fridge and some tea bags and coffee Lots and lots of mosquitoes when we first got inside. May need new fly screens

Exactly what we needed

We only stayed here for a night and arrived when it was already dark. It was literally a place to sleep however it was clean and had everything we needed for a night. Kangaroo came right to our door which the children loved. Would have loved to explore more

If you like the seclusion and being away from it all and self-sufficient this is the place for you.

Lovely property, recently renovated (not quite finished) quite secluded, enjoyed watching the bird life, and Roos

The location was further away than we expected/anticipated and it added an additional 30 mins of travel each direction/going/coming, that, coupled with the fact that the main road to get there was full of dead kangaroos and felt that we had to rush back before dusk to avoid hitting the Roos. Definitely had to watch out for the Roos driving on the dirt track road to get to the shack

Good location. Had everything we needed. Nice and tidy.

No Wi-Fi and phone internet was patchy at times which made planning activities etc difficult.

Great wildlife, no views, expensive for very basic facilities.

Not inckuded.

No oven, in a remote location where self catering was essential.Rusty microwave ceiling. No mop, shower door leaked and flooded bathroom floor.No wifi, though advertised .Cancelation policy was not as advertised in Booking .Com.Single bed mattress not thick enough. We had to double up with one from bunk bed.

Great location, friendly wildlife and access to Kangaroo Island and all it has to offer

the location was close to a beach, close to Penneshaw for supplies and the ferry. other cabins around, but still a good level of privacy. the location made getting to other parts of the island a breeze too.

Very peaceful, and close to amazing beaches.

Close to spectacular beach. Felt secluded even though Penneshaw was not too far away for supplies. Loved waking up with kangaroos and loads of birdlife. Lovely comfortable accommodation

I thought there was a bush track down to the beach, but it's a bit further away. It's still a short walk and well worth it! Not a huge issue.

Good location for a cabin in the bush.

Good location, near Penneshaw ferry terminal, and beach is walking distance. Is clean, and tidy. Good variety of condiments, and kitchen utensils. Host is responsive; issues with the cabin was fixed the next day.

Some of the furnishing/kitchenware had seen better days and appear worn out; property needs to level up on maintenance. Had a good induction stove and dishwasher. Was expecting what was advertised as having wooden flooring and a newer bathroom but gotten a different shack. However was willing to forgo this as the shack is clean and spacious.

A hidden gem. Definitely stay there if you have wheels.

Isolated beach shack on KI with everything you need - a bit far from townships but suited us as we had a car so was just perfect. Easy walk to beach. Kangaroos visited each day.

Would give it a 10 if there was no bathroom smell.

Very clean. Local wildlife was a bonus. Nice modern feel to decor.

Not sure if anything could be done but the septic smell in the bathroom was a bit overpowering at times.

We stayed in Shack 3, Two bedroom cabin, Good location surrounded by bush, It's a shot walk to the Island Beach which had very calm clear water

Main sliding door key was broken inside the barrel so it was not safe to lock the cabin and the Electric Stow didn't work so we couldn't do any cooking

Pleasant, beautiful and amazing!

Loved the location, very pleasant and peaceful. Lots of Kangaroos and Wallaby visits every day. House was clean and provided with all basic requirements.

Shower place could be a bit bigger.
