Over size accommodation in a lovely natural setting

A very large room, comfortable King size bed, all very clean, outdoor seating facing a grassed area and pool. The setting for the motel and winery was a delight with a large lake surrounded by beautiful old gum trees - and lots of native birds. Very helpful staff

Would stay again

We stayed here for 3 nights in October. Room was large and lots of storage space. Good bed. Large bathroom. Grounds were vert nice and relaxing.

Restocking coffee and milk wasn’t done. Room rather old-fashioned. Time for a refurbishment. No microwave.

Great location and comfortable stay overall.

Serafino was the perfect location for my colleague's work commitments over the few days she stayed.

Nothing - all that my colleague required was catered for, the room was clean and comfortable and she enjoyed her stay.

Lovely setting at the winery in a beautiful building. Nice big room and bathroom. Short drive to centre of town. Nice and quiet.

Cellar door closed early and we only got a limited tasting 45 minutes before advertised closing. Restaurant was also closed. Our main room lights failed approx 8pm and we would have had to pay a call out fee to get assistance. Luckily the bed lamps and bathroom still worked OK.

Love the area and the beautiful serenity of the motel. Rooms spacious and comfy.

Loved the room and the fact you could open the front door to the grassed area with seating by the window. Room is spacious with a spacious bathroom. Parking is very convenient.

would love to have been able to visit the restaurant and deck for coffees and platters throughout the day but it was either booked out or closed. the TV remote didnt work and was not fixed after 4 days.

Lovely accom apart from corellas, restaurant lovely, old native trees just divine.

Restaurant terrific. Room comfortable.

We support the corella culling. Too noisy/ birds not ideal for environmental reasons - noted many ancient eucalypts had had there tip cut by birds

chilled, great spot for exploring the McLarenVale

loved the location and accommodation, it has been kept in great condition over the years

I ate dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately I ordered the pasta which was over $35, but I ordered a main serve and expected great things following the amazing service staff and environment. The pasta was undercooked, it was cool when served and very small as a main course serving. Just totally a let down with every other positive of the experience. I wouldn't dine there again.

The noise from all the Corellas at sundown and just before sunrise. Being woken up with all the racket at 5.30 in the morning did not make for a restful weekend.

Restaurant wasn’t open , and why do they take a bond of $100 out of our account, for incidentals,they didn’t put the money back into our account for 7 days after we had checked out. Not happy about this , I would of thought that they have your credit card number would be enough for any incidentals.

Perfect relaxing stay after wine-tasting in McLaren Vale

The estate is beautiful and sprawling - it made us feel very relaxed and peaceful. The motel room is spacious and the mini kitchenette area is well stocked with a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, cutlery and utensils. The bed is big and comfortable. There is also a private parking spot marked with your unit number right outside your unit. We enjoyed the premium wine tasting session at the Cellar Door (reservation is necessary) during our stay as we got to try many of Serafino's premium wines, and buy the ones we liked. If you're feeling tipsy after the wine tasting session, you can rest in your motel room, or walk along the nearby walking trails (McLaren Vale Heritage walking trail).

The TV is very small, and there are not many channels to choose from. The room should provide more hangers in the wardrobe too.

Comfortable. Lovely grounds. Close to McLaren Vale shopping centre.

Room comfortable. Lovely outlook from room verandah across the lawns and gumtrees. Grounds lovely. Close to Shiraz trail.

Heating wasn't very effective. Wouldn't go at beginning of week again i.e. Mon.Tues. Wed as no restaurant facilities

Reasonably priced accommodation in one of our favourite wine districts.

Pleasant surroundings in a quiet location, central to all the family wineries, just as we wanted in a small town. The entry into the grounds was a stand out, as you travel up and around the lake to reception. Restaurant was particularly special, and the food and service were spot on. The staff had every answer to our wine questions about the area, and offered us some great advice, special mention to Katarina for her pleasant manner and knowledge. The room was spacious and comfortable, with easy parking directly behind the room. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but that too looked very inviting!

There was a rowdy party of quests who disrupted the peace and quiet of the afternoon, but were soon up and away elsewhere. It would have concerned some of the quests I'm sure.
