As it was our first trip to the area we loved everything about our stay at Pindar’s. He was so accommodating in every way and the home suited our needs perfectly. Situated on a lake with an occasional swan swimming by and a short walk to the beach on Long Island Sound the location was perfect. The house had every amenity we needed and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the lake from the Adirondack chairs. The home is near the many area wineries and farm stands. Just a perfect place in a perfect location.

We loved staying at Pindar's charming cottage not only for the comfy accommodations, but also for the beautiful water views. So peaceful to watch the swans who make Goldsmith's Inlet their home. We were also treated one morning to a doe and her two fawns as they passed through the lovely backyard. It's very easy to lose track of time enjoying the quiet of the morning from the vantage point of the back deck with a cup of coffee in hand. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of Pindar's Autumn Gold out on the deck in the late afternoon. Quiet location that's still close to wineries, shops, and restaurants...plus the LI Sound/beach is just down the road.

Gem of a property and fantastic owner. The place is just as pictured, with an even better back yard. The location is incredible. Close to great restaurants, wineries, and other great attractions of the North Fork. We usually go at least once a year and would definitely stay again!

We have been returning to this place every summer w the family. It has an amazingly serene water view from the yard and is walking distance to a kids friendly beach. The place is very cute and has everything we need for a family w kids. We’ll be back next summer

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. The house was just perfect for our needs. We cooked in on Friday and went out to dinner in Mattituck on Saturday. It was a delightful weekend. One thing to note - It appears that bees have made a nest below the shingles that cover the roof by the picture window. Feel free to contact me if you need more information about this.

Great location on an inlet with quick access to a beach. Very close to town and the wineries. Owner is a local winemaker and gifted us a nice bottle of wine. No actual complaints except that the home stayed a bit warm for our liking in the downstairs bedrooms even with AC and fans. Also, one bathroom was challenging, but we knew there was only one when we booked. It is a simple property, but comfortable and served our needs well. We enjoyed the swans, the turkeys, the water birds, the rabbits and the groundhog on property.

We enjoyed staying again in this cottage with a beautiful view of the pond. Kayak paddles to the sound and strolls on the beach were therapeutic. It was an added bonus having Pindar just a 5 minute drive away so we could sip our wine on the deck each evening.

Super happy to return to Pindars cottage We loved the sound beach with our kids and an evening at the brewery (3 mins down the road)! Pindar was immediately responsive to our needs! Hope to make this an annual trip!

Cottage was clean and had great views. My kids loved seeing the bunnies in the yard in the morning. Very close to beach, vineyards and brewery and only a very short trip to Greenport. We would definitely recommend to others and will most likely stay here again.

Pindar's home was perfect for our trip back to the North Fork of Long Island. Wonderful part of Peconic and convenient to everything that we wanted to do during our stay (beaches, golf, cycling, restaurants, yoga, etc.). Wish we had more time to spend there!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay here! The cottage was immaculate. Close to many great restaurants and wineries and a quick drive to Greenport. My 6 year-old daughter was giddy with delight greeting the sweet bunnies in the yard each morning and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the back deck with our coffee or wine soaking up the views.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Southold property and couldn't have been happier with my choice. My friends and I came up to do the North Fork Century Ride (100-mile bike ride) and the house worked perfectly. We were able to set ourselves up before the ride nicely (cooked a hearty meal) and then were able to chill after the ride and take in the view. Located close enough to everything you need, but far enough away that you've got some privacy.
