Despite lot’s of rain and poor fishing, I had a great time. I love to cook and I think the kitchen was the best equipped in over 40 years of summer rentals. Carol always responded right away when I contacted her. The house was clean and easy to keep clean. I would highly recommend this place to any person or family. The only problem was when I asked Carol to stop the rain and improve the fishing she was unable to do so!!

Edelweiss Cottage is a lovely well maintained property and just perfect for me. The cottage is equipped with all one needs and more to enjoy a vacation. The attention to detail showed the love Carol & Jeff have for their beach house. The beaches & outdoor shower were just the best! Location, location - Breakwater Village beach community folks are so friendly and welcoming. I can't wait for my return next summer. I highly recommend Edelweiss Cottage.

We had the best time at this beautiful cottage. The beach was right there to walk to with ease and they had everything we could've possibly needed right there. Coffee and pastries delivered the first morning of our stay which were DELISH!!! Carol was so great to book with and so accommodating. We can't wait to be able to come back and stay longer and when we have more time to just spend relaxing at the cottage and the beach!

The property is definitely simple and feels like a cabin. You have everything that you need for a weekend stay. Both bedrooms have queen size beds which take up most of the room. There are racks to fold and hang clothes but not much room besides that. Kitchen is well equipped and owner bought yummy coffee and mugs for our stay. The porch is nice and has a partial view of the water. There is a sitting room with table where we had most of our meals. It's a short easy walk to the beach which is lovely. It's big enough for 2 couples and maybe someone else who would stay on the futon. Bathroom is small but adequate. I would highly recommend for the location, the welcoming owner and the proximity to grocery, beach, restaurants etc. I stayed here with my 87 year old dad and the proximity of the bathroom to his bathroom as well as the flat neighborhood, was essential. I would definitely come back!

Our Vacation at Edelweiss Cottage was the best! We have stayed at many rentals in the Narragansett area, but this cottage and location were beyond compare. The cottage is adorable, immaculate and well thought out. We loved the deck with the ocean views and the outdoor shower! The private beach area was great, we loved sitting and watching the block island ferry and fishing boats from the beach. They had everything your needed for the beach at the cottage already. It felt like you were walking into a friends house rather than a rental. Carol & Jeff thought of every detail right down to the outdoor lights on the deck. The were responsive and checked in just to make sure we had everything we needed. We had the best Narragansett vacation to date at Edelweiss Cottage in the Breakwater Village Community. It is truly a hidden gem!

My vacation at Edelweiss cottage this August was fantastic! More than I could have hoped for. This beautiful little home turned out to be the BEST vacation home we have stayed at in the past 10 years! We have rented in many places, like Myrtle Beach, Ashville and Raleigh, NC, also Block Island (repeatedly) and Jamestown, Rhode Island and even Curacao! Hands down, access to the beach at Edelweiss was incomparable! Like two or three minutes walk! If you wanted to lug a pile of chairs, blanket, towels, umbrella and a cooler down to the beach, they have a beach wagon with big rubber tiles to use! From the living room/dining room (and the deck) you can feel the breeze coming off the ocean and look out right over the water and see Block Island! And as far as location; every thing is close by! The cottage is only a few minutes away from the Pt Judith/Galilee Harbor where you can take a ferry to Block Island or go fishing on one of the many charter or party fishing boats. You can buy fresh seafood at the market there next to the ferry or go to the end of the fishing pier just north of the ferry and buy lobster and crab right off the boat. We went clamming twice, right off the Galilee Escape road (which you take to the ferry) and we got piles of clams... tasty clams!! In the evening we would stroll around the neighbor hood and meet the nicest people or take a nice 15 minute walk up to road and get ice cream at Aunt Carrie's :)! The kitchen was perfectly serviceable; the refrigerator kept our food and drinks real cold, the gas stove worked well and the gas grill was great! The washer and dryer were excellent and we used them all the time. The outdoor shower was used by everyone and everyone remarked how nice it was. Huge too, a mom could clean up a passel of kids all at once to keep the sand out of the house. And the deck, with all the solar powered accent lights, was so enjoyable to hang out on, day and night. We spent most of our evening's out on that deck! And there were NO MOSQUITOES! Everything was clean and in working order; walkways we easy on bare feet, there was a garden hose to rinse your feet and gear, and the grass on the lawn was soft and neatly trimmed. We had clear space to park 3 cars, so convenient and no one was ever in our driveway! Seriously, I have rented many different cottages in the past and we have never stayed at one worth booking a second time. This one, as they say in Rhode Island, is a "keepah!"
