The property was beautiful, and it had a lovely rooftop terrace -- partly open, and partly enclosed where breakfast was served. The service was excellent, and the overall experience was great. Breakfast was also really good.
It's always tricky navigating large luggage items up the stairs in a riad, and this was no exception. Glad we were just on the second floor! But this is just the nature of staying in a riad, of course.

El Darj es precioso y muy limpio. Othman y su compañero fueron muy atentos en todo momento. Nos consiguieron taxista para el aeropuerto, un guía oficial para recorrer la Medina y nos recomendaron sitios para visitar y comer. La habitación es preciosa y silenciosa. La terraza de lo mejor. Muy bien ubicado a 20 mts de la calle principal de tiendas.
Nos ha gustado todo. Recomiendo este Darj 100%. Muy contentos.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti a Dar Borj, prenotando la sera prima del nostro arrivo per problemi con altra struttura, e subito Ottman e suo fratello si sono attivati per i transfer in arrivo ed in uscita e per farci conoscere le attività disponibili.
La struttura si trova all'interno della Medina, a circa 3 minuti a piedi da Bab Boujloud - la Porta Blu - ed è facile da raggiungere anche autonomamente viste le indicazioni presenti lungo il tragitto. L'ingresso si trova su un vicolo laterale ad una delle due arterie principali della Medina, posizione che ci è sempre sembrata sicura ed illuminata anche la sera. Il palazzo poi è veramente stupendo, con tutte le camere affacciate sulla corte interna dove verrete accolti con il classico the alla menta. All'ultimo piano poi c'è una bellissima terrazza, dove viene servita anche la colazione e con un'ampia vista sulla città di Fes, trovandosi in posizione rialzata rispetto al contesto.
Ringraziamo poi nuovamente Ottman per averci accompagnato all'aeroporto alle 4 di mattina, senza però farci mancare la borsa per la colazione al sacco.
La nostra camera era veramente grande, ma soprattutto alta, e a fine Gennaio abbiamo fatto un po' di fatica a scaldarla, nonostante di giorno ci fossero circa 25 gradi in città. Questo potrebbe però essere una manna per chi soggiorna in periodi più caldi dell'anno.
Mi sento poi di sconsigliare il soggiorno, ed in genere penso sia lo stesso per tutte le strutture nella medina di Fes, per chi ha problemi di movimento: nel palazzo le scale sono strette e ripide, e anche nella città ci sono molti dislivelli da affrontare.

Amazing 2 nights stay with gorgeous room on the 1st floor and large clean bathroom. The riad is next to the happening areas but very quiet area. Do get the staff, the super friendly guys to pick you up form Bab Boujloud or Blue Gate. Mouad and Otman did the best to meet all our requests like arranging for an awesome Fes guide, hammam and dinner at Cafe Clock a few minutes away.

The location is great, really close to the best entrance to the Medina (Bab Boujloud). Othman was a very helpful host.
The highlight is the stunning view of the Medina from the terrasse, a 360 degree view with a close-up of the Bou Inania minaret.

Very beautiful courtyard, welcoming host and staff, great breakfast served on a spacious terrace, and large room. The riad is also at a very convenient location (close to the blue gate) and parking. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent staff in this lovely secure historic riad. Recommend to be met by hosts as would be initially hard to find. Paid parking close by. Terrace with great views. Great dining with stupendous views over Fes.

The place is absolutely wonderful, clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. They value your time and are punctual, recognizing the importance of your precious moments. In short, it's a top-notch venue!

There is a weird smell coming from the bathroom, it’s very clean but there is a smell. And it gets very loud but this we expected since we chose to stay inside the Medina

The Dar is luxuriously decorated and fully equipped. The room is large, luxurious, spotless, the bed is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. The outdoor platform on the roof overlooks the entire Fez, and the view is superb. There are sofas on the indoor platform, where you can chat with friends and have breakfast. There are many types of breakfast.
When sleeping at night, there is a smell, which may be from the sewer. It would be better to have eggs for breakfast.

This is an absolutely perfect place. Great location, clean, good rooms and most importantly; the wonderful staff!!!
Otman is the best host one can expect, who makes every single guest feel welcome and taken care of!!! He came to pick us up from the gate and also drop us off on the day of departure. He will always make sure to show up when we're at any common area in the Riad to make sure we have everything we need. When asked, he was also very helpful on giving tips and recommendations.
Thank you Otman and the rest of the staff for, you guys gave us the perfect visit in Fes!!!

Otman! A very polite, welcoming and responsive host! We were traveling with a 3yo kid, and Otman was kind and considerate enough to get him a bottle of milk when us adults were enjoying our tea! He also connected us with a nice tour guide and gave thoughtful suggestions on restaurants and hammam. He really took good care of us and made us feel like we were at home away from home. So we extended our stay by an additional night!
Honestly, I couldn't point to any negatives or critical suggestions! It was genuinely a very pleasant stay.

A very beautiful riad in the heart of the medina. The staff (especially mister Otman) is very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast on the roof.
When visiting for the first time I recommend a guide to the hotel since it is located in one of the small streets of Fes and it might be hard to find. We booked an airport taxi service trough the hotel wich was great.

The service was espectacular, the staff was so kind and received us with food and a mint tea. The bedroom was ready at our arrival and felt super clean. They also prepared breakfast the morning we were leaving, even though we had to leave very early. Internet connection worked perfect and the location of the hotel is very good and easy to get there with car from the airport, also the staff came to pick us up at the taxi and help us with our luggage. Next time we go to the city we definetly repeat.

I recommend this Riad to stay in Fes. The location is close to the points of interest. But the biggest plus are the hosts who can help you with everything you need and are always talkative and well-disposed. I also recommend the guided tour before exploring Fes on your own. We stayed here on our first three nights in Morocco and it set a high standard for how a pleasant riad should be. I was searching for a reasonably priced place, special/unique structure, simple/clean room, nice lighting, nice bathroom, nice breakfast... and this place had all those qualities. They organized our pickup from the airport and a day trip outside of Fes with a driver who was very sweet and attentive. Overall we enjoyed our time =)
