Would definitely recommend. Stunning heritage property and setting with lots of attention to detail . Very relaxing plac

Beautiful grounds and ponds to stroll around . Lovely pool to relax around. Lots of choice on the menu of delightful dishes. A getaway heritage venue to escape to. Pretty bar area overlooking the main courtyard. Amazingly we were given an upgrade to one of the heritage suites which was welcome. We enjoyed the classical dancing and music in the evening.

The main pool was being refurbished but thank fully there is a second smaller pool which we could use as swimming was important to us. Only 2 sun loungers though ! Water in shower never got warm but that’s probably normal ..

The ambience and food was excellent.

Prices are a bit steep. The hot water did not work in the Royal Suite which was really not what I expected.

Beautifully restored heritage property. Delectable food. Warm and helpful staff. Modern facilities of a pool and gym.

Not very accessible for elderly people who have mobility difficulties.

One night away break

The staff were very friendly & helpful. A special mention for Suman Pal, who went out of his way to serve our needs. The bar on the upper level overlooking the central courtyard was very nice but the bartender that served us got a cocktail drink wrong - twice. Prices were reasonable. Food was exceptional, especially the lunch thali. Also the breakfast buffet had a good spread of ethnic & foreign dishes. Overall we were satisfied with our one night's stay & would recommend a visit.

Front desk & administrative staff not very knowledgeable & could be a little more helpful. For a high end property their communications & reservations system leaves a lot to be desired. Telephones not properly manned. Even after we completed our stay & had left the resort we kept getting emails requesting deposit payment to secure our booking. Other than within the resort grounds there was nothing much to do.. Strolling around the locality not very nice either.

Superb

Very nice outing & relaxing for 1 night stay . Food is excellent & delicious. Service staff are very friendly & eager to help . As senior citizens , we found Antique type bed height is too high although stairs are provided to climb on bed .

Usually when we book through booking.com we pay while checking in . But in case of Rajbari , we had to pay 50 % in advsnce .

Amazing experience

Noisy, mosquito infested, lack of hot water

The haveli ambience is five star Food is reasonably good Rooms fairly large

The room was above the entrance and it was noisy all through the night No hot water in the bathroom at night Plagued with mosquitoes Water clogging in the shower

great place for a quick getaway

ambience, staff, great musician in the evening, lovely bar, personalized service, gorgeous property - I went for the second time this year !

too many people running around with drones and taking photos, food has changed and I was hoping for more Bengalee food for dinner, internet connections were spotty !

A destination in the middle of nowhere.

The overall palatial structure which has been so beautifully restored with glimpses of the past lent a magnificent ambiance to the place. The lighting is thoughtfully done resulting in a mystique to the property.

Perhaps the internet in the room could be better but we were told that the thick walls beat the current day technology and on the other hand one can always choose to detox for a day or two. So we are not complaining :)

only one thing , the food is too expensive. Virat Kohli’s one 8 commute is cheaper than this place . I order one platter of kabab 700Rs+ taxes and received 8 Pc medium size kabab .

Over all a wonderful gateaway from the maddening crowd with a lovely rajbari aura .

Well i spent my birthday this year at this amazing property. I loved the bengali rajbari decor and the lighting. Loved the clean pool. The rooms were spacious. Food was tasty. Ambience was "wow". They came up with a cake(surprise) which i cut in the courtyard while the vocalist lady sang "happy birthday" which was lovely. At night they sent me a bowl of payesh which is a bengali must on birthdays, that touched me so deep. The staffs are extremely friendly and approachable.

The rooms and the amenities inside the room could have been more and better. There was no hair dryer though they sent me one when i asked for, there was no tv in the room. They charge you same rates as any other 5 star property in Kolkata so the in room amenities should be improved. The food was super expensive and variety was very less. The food quantity was more but then if its so expensive, how can someone try all the delicacies? There was water logging in the bathing area of the classic heritage room and due to construction work going on just beside the room, we could not sleep well in the early morning. The fish preparation in the dinner ala carte was uncooked though the staff immediately changed it but still it is not expected in such an expensive resort. Later they gave the dinner as complimentary to me which was good.
