Hotel Manoir D'Auteuil - Par Aneyro

Location was nice, Staff was wonderful and breakfast was nice

our room was a little different- I did not like having to worry about hitting my head getting out of bed.

We had a king room on the first floor towards the back, and it was exceptionally quiet. We were also near the common/dining area, so it was nice to be able to leave the room and have a place to sit and read. The staff was all kind and accommodating. They also have a small bar and can serve you beer/wine/cocktails on request. The location was excellent, being a short walk to everything, but out of the fray at the bottom of the hill (cruise ships and crowds).

Breakfast was convenient, but just so so. They had toast, croissants, boiled eggs, some fruit and yogurt. It was enough to get you through the morning, but nothing fancy. They would make you a crepe if you asked, but you had to be "in the know," as this wasn't stated anywhere. The coffee was excellent, and we appreciated having ice water and tea available all day.

Beautiful property in a perfect location

Aneyro has taken over the management of this and 14 other hotels. They are implementing lean management- which basically means there is one single person of staff managing reception, valet service, the restaurant, bar and checkout. It makes you wonder why prices remain high while service levels are non-existent. The people are doing an excellent job, but the management is filling their pockets over their heads. This is not sustainable and is destroying the authenticity, charm, hospitality and warm welcome you would expect for this kind of hotel.
