This accommodation is comfortable and in a very nice neighborhood. Quiet with on street parking. The bathroom is down the hall from the bedroom and has everything you need. Christine was very responsive to all my questions. We highly recommend.

Lovely stay & street in Brooklyn
Private, quiet, and great location. The room had all we needed for a NYC weekend, including comfortable sitting room/ bedroom, and bath. Just a walk away from the metro, great restaurants and bars. Christine was in constant communication with us every step of the way, immediately responsive and helpful. We will definitely consider staying here next time we visit the city.

Lovely, peaceful accommodation
We were very pleased with our stay at Christine's wonderful garden apartment. It was well furnished, charming and immaculate. Christine responded promptly to any of our questions and concerns. This made for an excellent and restful stay.

Perfect stay for fall visit to New York
Property was very clean and as advertised. No smell considering 100 year old property! Christine was very good host, providing dining suggestions and staying in contact by text in case we needed anything. Bed was very comfortable, sheets as well. Location was perfect, only 10 min walk to Subway station, and 20 min ride to Times Square. Nightly price was very reasonable. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again!

Review of Christine’s apartment in Brooklyn
A terrific place and a terrific experience. Very elegant and clean little apartment, just about everything we needed. Pictures don’t do it justice-warm and comfortable. Christine was very conscientious and helpful, she worked around our schedule for check in. Neighborhood is lovely with great amenities and access to fabulous Prospect Park. Access to Manhattan is excellent during the week especially (they were doing subway construction this weekend so watch for that).

Stayed in this quiet bedroom with a private bathroom for 2 nights before departing on our cruise. We chose this location in Brooklyn because it was close to the cruise terminal. It was a short walk to the subway so we could do some sightseeing in Manhattan for a day. The room is on the bottom floor of the owners home. It felt very private
even though they live upstairs. We had our own entrance. The last time I stayed in NYC I had a hard time sleeping because of the busy streets. This rental is on a very quiet street, so we slept great! I also appreciated the small fridge to keep some water cold. The host even provided 3 water bottles, a couple of granola bars and a small coffee pot. The host gave very detailed info on how to enter the rental as she was unavailable at the last minute to greet us. Very quick to respond through text or the VRBO app. It was also convenient to walk a few blocks to have some pizza for dinner and then bagels in the morning for breakfast. I would highly recommend this room in Brooklyn!

A great location in a part of Brooklyn we’d never explored. Lots of great coffee and breakfast available close by. Short walk to the bus or subway. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Christine answered any questions in a timely manner and was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants.

Well kept home in Brooklyn
I want to thank Christine for being an excellent host. Her home is immaculate and I had a wonderful stay that exceeded my expectations. The house is on a neat, quiet street of well kept brownstone homes. It is a short walk from a stop on the Q train line. There are two small markets right outside the subway. Along the walk to the house, you pass a fruit market, a bagel shop, and an assortment of restaurants. I had no difficulty finding my way to the house or letting myself in based on Christine’s instructions. I met her that evening and found her to be very pleasant hostess. I travel alone so I noticed the entrance to the apartment was very secure. I am a light sleeper and noticed the block was very quiet. I hardly believed I was in a city. Christine mentioned that her family was two levels above the apartment. That explains why I didn’t hear walking around above me as I would have expected in anolder home. The mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. This is very important to me, and I am fussy about the cleaning in vacation homes. For sightseeing, it is walking distance to Eastern Parkway. You can get to the Botanical Gardens, Prospect Park, and The Brooklyn Museum without a car or taking the subway.
I highly recommend a stay hereI. I plan to return on future trips to Brooklyn.

I am a happy repeat visitor to Christine's fabulous accommodations. Everything I've raved about in prior reviews still stands and I've only ever had positive experiences staying here. As I return for work regularly, it's so fun getting to know the neighborhood and Christine and her family better and feeling a sense of 'home' away from home. Can't wait to stay again!

We loved our time at this cute little apartment for our anniversary weekend away. Christine is so accommodating and quickly responds to all requests. While the hallway is shared, it felt so private. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Exactly what we wanted
The room was perfect! Big soft bed and private bathroom. Safe neighborhood close to lots of food and the subway. Christine was excellent! She checked in a couple times via text to see if we needed anything, she was very helpful with directions and had great food suggestions. Everything was very clean and the internet was fantastic.

Excellent home base
Christine was great with providing information before and during our stay. Her home is extremely comfortable, quiet, excellent location for walking to the subway and everything we needed was available locally. Christine and her daughter met us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip.
Prospect park is an easy walk as is the subway to get anywhere else you need to go.
The only (tiny) issue we had was that with a small(ish) child the bath was not useable as a bath but only as a shower... Christine, again, did everything she could to help us overcome that issue and we were able to make it work.
I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone traveling to New York or Brooklyn and we will definitely be back.

Nice place in a lively neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay in this nice, well furnished room with private bath. Located in a brownstone on a pleasant tree lined street, it was everything we could have wished for. Subway stop to Manhattan is just a few short blocks away, and this area of Brooklyn is fun and lively.

Fantastic!
The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, comfortable and luxurious. It was just like a top hotel. Our host Christina was wonderful and thought of everything. The room was historic, but updated and new. There were even automatic motion detected nightlights in the hallway when we used the bathroom at night or came in after dark. (That's a first for us and very considerate if you ask me!) She was easy to work with and made sure our stay was comfortable. We will definitely use her place again!

This was everything the VRBO web page promised, and then some. You can stay in Brooklyn for a fraction of the price of Manhattan. You are three blocks from the subway. (which is then three stops from Manhattan)There are great restaurants within a short walk of the brownstone. Christine was incredibly helpful and very available for any information. I would recommend without hesitation.

We recently spent two nights here while visiting Brooklyn. Christine was a kind, helpful host who provided us with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The room was clean, organized, stocked with water, a few snacks, coffee, tea, and all the extra amenities a traveler would need (nice hangers, iron & board, luggage rack, cooling fan, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, etc). The bed was comfortable with super soft, quality sheets and duvet, and we slept with zero interruptions.
The room and separate bathroom are on the lowest level, while the family lives upstairs. We didn’t have any issues with the space!
Christine gave us recommendations for dining within walking distance. Our breakfast at Bonafini was excellent!

Christine and her home was awesome.
She communicated with use before, during and after our stay. Great advice on transportation, places to go and when the best times to do things. She also recommended a few local restaurants to visit. Subway is very close and if you don't want to park on the street there is a parking garage a block away. Comfortable bed and plenty of room for us and our things. You can't go wrong staying here!!!

Christine’s place was a great stay for us while visiting NYC. The bedroom is the perfect size and you can’t beat the full size bathroom. We went into Manhattan both days we were there and the subway is only 3 blocks away and was an easy trip on the Q into the city. The accommodations are so much more affordable here and the privacy is unmatched. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to get back in the near future.

Three blocks from subway station or Prospect Park make this an ideal place to stay in Brooklyn. The room is comfortable and nicely appointed with private bath and you don't even know the owners above are there! No street noise at all, but just one block to Flatbush Ave. Bergen Bagel shop recently opened is two blocks plus several coffee shops. Great little restaurants as well all within 3-4 blocks. The owner Christine is super helpful with detailed instructions prior and during visit. This will be our place to stay anytime we visit our son who lives just blocks away.
