An exceptional setting in the very heart of old Florence 50 meters from the Uffizi Gallery and piazza della Signoria. Via del Corno is a quiet and historic street where one of the greatest Italian writers of the early 20th century lived and on which he set his most famous novel. It almost touches Palazzo Vecchio, which frames it at one of its ends. A tourist could ask for no better location in Florence. The home 75 square metres is on the first floor of a historic building with a monumental portal, a lovely entrance hall and a comfortably ample staircase with an elevator. Uffizi Apartment was completely renovated in 2015. Very elegant indeed with its contemporary furnishings, it is an enchanting place to live, highly functional and perfect in every detail. Parquet, air conditioning in every room, two bathrooms and balcony. It is warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to the air conditioning but also to the extremely massive walls typical of historical edifices and its excellent exposure. Here one can sip a drink before dinner or relax, reading or watching TV. the kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, its colors light hues of pine, with a large refrigerator-freezer, oven, microwave oven, toaster and every utensil needed for cooking. The table seats 6-8 persons. These ample spaces make for a quality of life that can last a few days or months and even years. More information on the location and on the charming via del Corno The apartment is situated in the heart of Florence, in the true historical center of city, in that medieval core where beautiful Florentia was born. The street, which is closed to traffic, is immersed in silence, picturesque in a typically Florentine way. It was here that the famous writer Vasco Pratolini lived and where he set his most famous novel, Cronache di poveri amanti. A placque opposite our portal commemorates this illustrious writer. The street lies just behind piazza della Signoria, to most ancient center of Florence. Via del Corno lies between two important pedestrian streets: Via de’ Neri, which is famous for its many traditional shops, bakeries, small restaurants and other eateries, gelaterie and cafés, many of which are featured in the most important guidebooks, but also with a supermarket in the vicinity. Via de’ Neri also has friendly shops where one can buy reasonably priced clothes, shoes and bags. The other street, Borgo de’ Greci, offers excellent shopping for artisanal products. The Uffizi Apartment was also conceived for persons wishing to rent for longer periods, for work or for study, and is consequently equipped with all of those spaces and conveniences to live as comfortably as in one’s own home! Thanks to the efficient disposition of the rooms and spaces, this home can be rented to groups of friends, large families or even to persons who have to study: plenty of light, silence and every convenience make this a perfect apartment for longer stays. The home is complete with a handy storage area for suitcases and shoes as well as the laundry. The Uffizi Apartment sleeps six persons thanks to the double sofa-bed in the living room, and one can also request additional small beds for children to be placed in the double bedrooms. Why make this choice? My name is Cristiana. I teach Italian history and literature. I really love my city and I love the houses of the historic center. I have a great deal of experience in real estate in this part of town, and in 2014 I began looking for the “ideal” home in order to work with tourists. I saw scores of homes before finding the one I am offering you. In Florence there are innumerable homes for tourists, but I wasn’t looking for just any home. I wanted to find a place where I would have gladly lived. It is anything but easy to find homes that are well-designed, quiet and bright within the confines of that tiny central area where I feel a tourist ought to live even for a short time. The real center of Florence. Only from here can you wander on foot at any hour of the day or night, in safety and with home close by. Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Bargello, Piazza del Duomo, Santa Croce and the Uffizi, and teeming with little streets full of life and interesting places to discover -- all of this within a few hundred meters -- or just looking up on via del Corno. strong points -- exceptional location -- elevator -- quiet and bright -- beautiful home newly renovated -- new furnishings -- optimal disposition of spaces every convenience -- a full-sized and fully equipped kitchen -- washing machine -- iron -- ironing board -- bedding already in place -- flat-screen TV -- WiFi -- oven -- microwave oven -- coffee maker -- large refrigerator -- toaster -- kettle -- kitchen utensils -- air-conditioned throughout -- linen -- hair drier

Good sized property - very conveniently situated. One bathroom very small - dining area restricted. More pillows would be good.

This condo is located very close to San Croce Piazza and easily in walking distance to most everything. Building is corner unit with little lighting in either main or intersecting street. Condo is 1st floor -meaning 1/2 flight of stairs to reach a closet sized lift. Stairs may be challlenge to mobile disabled. Back to basics furnished and bathrooms are so tightly crammed it is difficult to turn around. Don’t expect luxury but you’re not in Florence to stay in a condo. Fortress style door to condo will ensure safety of anyone staying here. Expect to hear noise in the early morning hours as condo does not filter the sounds from either street.

Excellent location!! Good communication with host. Good price!! Flat had not been cleaned when we arrived from previous guests!! It was a little frustrating since we had communicated our arrival time. We had to leave and return after it had been cleaned. Otherwise a very good experience!!

The property, location and host were excellent. As a guest staying over a week I would’ve appreciated having more towels.
Also, a little better information about the appliances within the property. Overall, it was a great trip, and I was very appreciative of the help the host provided.

The location was great! Bedrooms were a nice size. Bathroom towels were awesome. Was equipped with everything one needed in the kitchen, some dish rags and drying towels would have been great. A coffee table would have been helpful in the living room.
We had to address a few issues with the host, we had many evenings we were awaken by street partying, the air conditioner in one bedroom was very loud while running, and the washing machine seal was beyond dirty, not suitable for use. Our host was gracious to supply us with a cleaning product to try but that did not help. Our host did arrange a technician to look at air conditioning unit in bedroom but we found that it really didn’t make a difference. Thinking it was not an easy fix.

Nice apartment in a very central location in Florence, steps away from the Palazzo Vecchio. If you’re light sleepers be aware that the surrounding streets are busy and can be noisy on Friday nights. Apartment comes exactly as described. A tourist tax is calculated separately from the list price (just a note). Great plus that it’s air conditioned and has, washing machine, and 2 full bathrooms. Very good for 4-5 people.

The property management team was outstanding. From my initial inquiry to the checkout, they were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about ensuring my stay was flawless. Their recommendations for local dining and sightseeing were spot on, enriching my experience even further.

We had a great time in Florence and this place was very nice for four adults (two couples ) traveling together. We loved that it has AC in the living /kitchen and both bedrooms especially during the heat of a July summer in Italy. We also loved having a washing machine. I’m only giving it 4 stars because the AC units needed cleaning and servicing as well as the washing machine. A good bleach cleaning for both would have eliminated the mold. One AC in bedroom rattled at night. If these things are addressed I would certainly stay here again as it was a great location in a great city! Communication was great as well.

I loved the location of the apartment! Away from the crowds but also so close and walkable from anywhere.

We were very pleased to have found this gem in the centre of Florence but on a quiet Street close to everything. Matias was wonderful and made sure that we had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. The beds deserve a separate mention since they were the best. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and will return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The apartment was in a perfect location in easy walking distance to all the attractions, cafes & restaurants of Florence. But at the same time it is in a very quiet street.
The 2 bedrooms are very spacious & 2 bathrooms & sofa bed made the apartment a perfect place for 5 friends

The apartment was as advertised. The location could not be better. However it was not quiet at night. Loud groups were drinking right below our windows until as late as 4 A. M.. The only other negative was the apt. was poorly stocked. No dishwashing liquid, old sponge not enough towels.
On the positive side the owner went out of her way to help us with recovering property that had been stolen in Rome when we entered the country. We got our item back.
Thank you

The location is great as it is a little out of the busier part of Florence but is just a short walk away from all the action and sights The apartment is spacious but was not quite as represented in the ads. It seemed that some of the furniture was missing, the toilet seat was loose (it was fixed the day we moved in) there were saucepan lids but no saucepans and the front door was a little scary with many locks. It made us think that we were not in a very nice area.
It is not a quiet area. There seemed to be groups gathering in the surrounding streets most nights and partying all night. 5 a.m. one morning it finished. There are also lots of market trailers stored in garages nearby which made a lot of noise leaving early in the morning.
Overall it is a lovely unit close to some good Trattorias and apart from the noise (which obviously the owner had no control over) it was a good place to stay.

The apartment was much larger than I expected. Both bedrooms were large, plenty of room. I would have liked a couple of comfy chairs in each bedroom, they were certainly large enough to accommodate chairs, but that’s just me.
The apartment is on a quiet street which is quiet during the daytime. At night the bedrooms sit on the stree that contains the Trattoria Anita and there are always people talking loudly or drunk or fighting. So you do get a lot of noise at night. Also between 4 and 5 am there is a lot of noise with the shop keepers opening their garage doors and pulling their carts down the street. Cars also do come down the streets fairly frequently (our cab driver actually delivered us to the front door).
We stayed here for 5 weeks and wandered around a lot. I noticed that the quieter areas of the city had less broken stones/tiles than our street, indicating less vehicles.
The apartment was really nice though, lots of maps and tourist books, as well as fiction. Neither the washing machine nor the AC/heating unit was explained to us when we checked in. We were not told there was a remote for the AC and the last week we were there, the AC came on and cool down the place and then the heat would come on and heat it back up so not very efficient. As to the washing machine, if you set the knob on anything other than rapids, it ran for hours, literally. Clean your clothes on rapido.
We would certainly stay here again.

Just finished a three week stay at this comfortable apartment. Convenient to everything Florence has to offer and in a quiet neighborhood. A few minutes walk to the Duomo, San Croce and all the important museums. Kitchen had everything we needed and the washer was a plus. Beds were comfortable. My only wish is that it had a floor mop as I would have washed the floors during my stay and as a courtesy when I left.

You just can’t beat the location of this apartment! It is located at the heart of Florence and extremely close to all attractions!
The apartment itself is decently sized, kitchen has basic items, bedrooms and other areas were pretty spacious except for the hallway bathroom which is pretty tight. Beds and pillows were comfortable, although providing a few extra pillows would have been great! One small complaint I have was the floors were not very clean as I like it to be, nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. Another drawback was the noise at nights and in early mornings and some strange smell from the washer room/sewer - none of which was under the owner's control.
Overall, it was a great stay for the price we paid. The location is unbeatable.

The apartment is perfectly adequate, furnishing spare, limited kitchen fine for our needs, tight bathrooms with very small showers.
The location is good for sightseeing but bad for noise. In the early morning (5-6 AM) the street vendors pull out their carts from the numerous garages under the surrounding buildings calling loadly to each other and making lots of racket. At night, the street is a path for loud locals on way home from bars and restaurants. We had white noise machines which made some sleeping possible.

We arrived early and were able to drop our luggage off before Check-in time which was a godsend. The apartment is beautiful and on a quiet street. The little touches like a map of the area, babysitting availability, oil and vinegar and spices in the cupboard and instructions on how to get our Canadian Netflix to work on their tv we’re all top notch! The apartment is close to the river which was lovely to walk at night. Communication was great and our host offered many reviews of restaurants and places to see. The only thing I want to mention was there were far more mosquitoes than I thought there would be and wasn’t prepared for that. However that a Florence thing and not a knock against this beautiful place. We wished we could have stayed longer and can’t wait to go back.

I would definitely recommend this apartment. It was airy and spacious with very high ceilings. It is on a second floor with a few stairs to climb but there is a lift if you want it. The kitchen was well stocked with kettle, coffee maker microwave etc. and the beds were extremely comfortable. I even had my own dressing room. Mathias was patiently waiting for us as we arrived quite late to check in due to flight delays. He was helpful and very responsive to all our questions and also fixed a loose shower door for us really fast as soon as we reported it. The apartment was in a fantastic central location and was perfect for restaurants and sightseeing. Round the corner from Via del Neri, it's famous Gelateria and Palazzo Vecchio...and a short walk to the Duomo and Arno river. If you visit, try out Ristorante Buca Poldo located in a side street off Piazza della Signoria. Its well worth it and we went twice it was so good.
We were glad of the AC as it was such hot weather! Come prepared for some night time noise at the weekends, as the bedrooms back out onto a small street -Trattoria Anita. I didn't hear a lot as the AC unit disguised any late night festivities!
